I use this toner 2-3x a week at night. Here’s why:⁣⁣⁣

Glycolic acid is great for texture issues and brightening, but used improperly can really mess up your skin. It has a low molecular weight, meaning it penetrates the skin well and can be very effective.
Used improperly however, it can sensitize your skin and damage your moisture barrier. Remember, glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliant and isn’t meant to be used after every cleanse! ⁣⁣⁣

Glycolic acid can also cause photosensitivity, which is why it should be used at night. Photosensitivity is an immune system reaction triggered by exposure to the sun and leads to redness and inflammation (we hate to see it). ⁣⁣⁣

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is a water-based serum with niacinamide (vitamin B3) and zinc.
