Don't throw away broken locks. They can be firmly reattached.
A sister lost some locks due to illness and medication. After recovery, her hair grew back and we reattached them back.

Tight weaves and braids can lead to hair loss due to the tension they create, while wigs can cause hair loss from friction. Many women have experienced hair loss from wearing wigs, especially when the mesh is rough, which can be damaging to 4b and 4c hair.

Let’s prioritize the health of our strands and follicles. While wigs, weaves, and braids are more affordable and accessible for many of us, hair transplants remain out of reach for the majority.

Grid sectioning method helps in future styling options. Canerows or flat twists can be done easily. Some of my clients whom I started their locs over the years.

Another style suggestion is stranded twists that yields tight or loose curls depending on. The number of locs per twist or how tight the twist is. 9 years and counting.

For those considering embarking on the journey of Sisterlocks and Microlocks, take inspiration from the idea of achieving hair freedom. If you did not get the locks that you desired, remember that nothing is irreversible. You have the chance to start anew. Many of us are on our second or even third set of locks. I've been on this lock journey for 12 years. In the initial 3 years, I had traditional locks, also known as dreadlocks, and now I've cherished my current set of locks for 9 years. I formed a facebook group Sisterlocks and Microlocks Sisters , as I wanted to offer a place for encouragement to all of us as we also support one another on this journey of embracing our hair.
