Are you TOFI ? (Thin Outside FAT Inside) 1 out of 4 thin people do fall in the TOFI category.

Just because you look thin doesn't mean you are healthy. You could be at risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other metabolic diseases just like an overweight/obese person.

How to know if you have the skinny fat syndrome or TOFI

• Although you look thin, you have a protruding mid section/belly.

• You have high blood pressure

• Your triglycerides are high

• Your blood sugar levels are high

If you are keen to work on your health, here are some ways to help fix this.

• Cut out all forms of sugars and refined carbs.

• Eat more fat (good fats such as Olive oil, butter,ghee,macadamia oil, coconut oil, avocado . Fats are satiating and help reduce cravings.

• Exercise especially Lifting,
strength and HIIT training.

• Eat quality moderate animal protein.

• Add green leafy and colourful vegetables if you can tolerate this. Since most TOFI persons tend to have gut health issues.

• Add fermented vegetables

• Do Intermittent fasting and build to long fasts (48hrs +)

These things will revamp your metabolic health, you will feel stronger and healthier than ever. You will also notice a leaner defined physique.

Hydration is key if you are on a journey to fat loss. Most of the ' 'hunger pangs'' that you are feel probably your body needing water. So hydrate oftenly by atleast drinking 1.5-2 litres of water. You can consequently eat your water by incorporating fruits and vegetables high in water to your diet such melon, cucumbers, godget, cabbage, celery, Brussels sprouts etc..Track your water intake by downloading an app which reminds you to take the water and also carry a water bottle with you for easy access of water

Did you know that fat loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise this means most of the results you'll see comes from changing your quality of food and portion sizes. You cannot outrun a bad diet by exercise. This means if you are on a journey to fatloss start first by changing what's on your plate and gradually you'll see results 😉then progress to working out two to three times a day. Most people think that fat loss is all about eating less and exercising more but it goes way beyond that.., it's a total lifestyle change..Changing your eating habits and approach towards health..Fat loss can only be achieved by being on a caloric deficit. (any shortage in the number of calories consumed relative to the number of calories needed for maintenance of current body weight (energy homeostasis).
A deficit can be created by reducing calories consumed by lower food intake, such as by dieting.[1] A deficit can also be created by increasing output (burning calories) without a corresponding increase in input. Increased output is created by increasing physical activity,[2] from increased caloric requirements necessary to heal an injury,) And lastly learning to trust the process by being patient and consistent only then will you see the results
