Looking for fun colorful cookies for your kids without the nasty colorings? These blueberry cookies are the answer. Plus they are egg-free!

Blueberry cookies:
✔️ 1 cup organic all purpose flour or whole wheat flour
✔️1/2 tsp baking powder
✔️ A pinch of salt
✔️1/3 cup butter
✔️ 1/3 cup cane sugar
✔️ 1/3 cup frozen blueberries (you have to use frozen blueberries, or the recipe will not work)
✔️1/2 cup white chocolate chips
✔️The zest of a lemon

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.

In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt.

Microwave blueberries for 1 to 2 minutes until soft and jammy. Let them cool.

With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the blueberries and cream at high speed. The mixture should have a deep purple color.

Gradually fold dry ingredients. Mix in chocolate chips and lemon zest.

Place dough balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-15 minutes until slightly brown on the edges.

* You may need to add more blueberries to get that dark purple color on your dough. Adjust the flour measurement accordingly. You will need to add enough flour to form a cookie dough.

We're entering yet another year alongside the "pandemic" so to be honest it doesn't really feel like a "new" year to me.
These past 2 years have been very difficult for many of us especially for moms who have been trying to accomodate to the "new normal" by having their kids at home 24/7 and keep their sanity.
We are no longer living normal lives anymore and if you are buying into the promises of giving you back your freedom under this or that condition you are either naive or in denial.

I am a firm believer of the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" and I don't think it's right for childern to stay home with the mother all day long. We have transitionned from having a village raising the child to having just the mom who suddenly was asked to become the mother, the teacher, the doctor, the child psychology expert, the montessori and activity coordinator, the cyber safety professional etc. and we somehow came to actually believe that this is what makes a "good" mom. Maybe because this is how modern motherhood is being portrayed nowadays on social media. The social media that can, in a blink of an eye, make from a new mom of 1 an expert at parenting just because she read a few parenting books or had a good experience with her first so she somehow felt qualified enough to give advice to others.

But even the certified parenting experts aren't being realistic and almost none are trying to adapt theit content to the new circumstances we are living. On the contrary, they are pressuring mothers and enforcing expectations from an exhausted mom living in a different world.

I love my children so much but I also believe in balance and I think that a mom has also many other roles to fulfill but these roles have been put on hold for the past 2 and a half years because of what is happening.

You may agree or disagree with what I said but I am raising the voice of many mothers who feel the same and I truly believe that this is highly damaging for both the mother and the children and I would hope that parenting experts start focusing more on the mom than on the child because if the mom is okay she will instinctively do a great job.

Setting goals for the new year, making a vision board, writing a plan are all wonderful tools for kicking off a great new year! But it's missing the most important part: your beliefs about yourself and all the different aspects of your life

Ask yourself this after writing each goal down: Do I beleive I can do it? Because many times deep down the answer is no.

Let's say you want to have more success in your professional life but you believe that you don't have what it takes, or that you can't be a successful professional and a good parent at the same time. Writing that goal without changing this core belief will keep you stuck.

Same goes for other areas of your life. So get digging about all the beliefs that are holding you back...

Want to lose the extra weight, but everytime you diet, the weight goes back again?

It could be because of the toxic overload in your body. Supporting the detoxification pathways, by eating cleansing foods and taking detoxifying supplements is key in helping the body recover and maintain fat burning.

Dieting, on the other hand is counterproductive and will result in weight loss resistance.

As a health coach, I always try to dig deep and find the root cause of weight gain, and not just give diets that may only work short-term.

السبب ممكن يكون تراكم السموم بجسمك. دعم مسارات التخلص من السموم عن طريق تناول الأطعمة المنقية و أخذ المكملات الغذائية المضادة للسموم أمر أساسي في مساعدة الجسم على مزاولة وظايفو بشكل طبيعي و الحفاظ على حرق الدهون.

In health coaching, or any type of coaching really, fostering self-love is the cornerstone of any sustainable behavioral transformation.

You can't lose the weight if you don't love yourself.

You won't commit to working out if you don't love yourself.

You can't free yourself from emotional eating if you don't love yourself.

You won't bother to do the inner work and change your habits if you don't love yourself... If you don't feel you're WORTH IT!

And self-love, doesn't only mean accepting yourself the way you are with all your flaws. "It's the balance between accepting yourself as you are while knowing you deserve better, and then working towards it"-Vex King-

🎊 The end of they year is approaching, and it's usually time to evaluate how "productive" last year was and which goals you were able to accomplish, on a personal and/or professional level.

📝 You may find that some goals were achieved while others were not, some dragged goals from the previous years are still pending. And so what to do in this scenario?

❌ Don't beat yourself up with negative self-talk like "I'm useless", or "I'm a total failure", or "what's the point of me setting goals when I never seem to accomplish them".

✅ Build yourself up: Try to see the reasons that made you fall behind and think of ways to deal with them. Some reasons may not actually be setbacks but opportunities to grow or give to others. Remember that the past two years were exceptional and keeping your mental health is the most important goal worth celebrating in my opinion.

❌ Don't compare yourself to others and their accomplishments.

✅ Compare yourself today to who you were yesterday and pay attention to the progress you made. Brainstorm small achievements that were not on your "goals list" and celebrate them.

❌ Don't focus on the end result.

✅ Focus on the journey, the self-discoveries and positive changes that happned within you this year.

💗 Be kind to yourself and remember that as women and/or moms in our full feminine energy it's not so much about being productive but more about being present.

Chicken soup has been a go- to cold & flu remedy and a well known immune boosting food for centuries, for very good reasons:

🍲 Research proves that chicken soup supports the immune system and decreases the duration and intensity of colds and flu by inhibiting the migration of white blood cells across the mucous membrane to reduce congestion and ease cold symptoms.

🍲 Chicken soup contains vitamins A and C, magnesium, phosphorus, gelatin and antioxidants, which are known to build a strong immune system and fight off viruses.

🤧 Today I am sharing my favorite chicken soup recipe just in time for the cold and flu season:

▪️Ingredients:

✔ 1 whole chicken
✔ 1 onion
✔ 2 carrots
✔ 1 potato (optional)
✔ 4 garlic cloves
✔ A small piece of ginger
✔ 1/4 head of cabbage
✔ A small bunch of parsley
✔ A small bunch of rice noodles (to make it gluten free, but you can use other types of noodles)
✔ Sea Salt, pepper to taste
✔ 1/4 tsp cinnamon
✔ The juice of 1/2 a lemon

▪️Directions:

Start by cooking the whole chicken to extract the chicken stock for the soup.

Chop the onions, carrots, potato and ginger into cubes. Set aside

Cut the cabbage leaves into strips and chop the parsley. Set aside.

Mash the garlic. Set aside.

In a pot, sauté the onion, then ginger and garlic, carrots and potatoes.

Pour over the strained chicken stock.

When the carrots start to become tender add the cabbage leaves and noodles.

Add the dessicated chicken, parsley and seasoning.

Finish with the lemon juice.
