My whole journey into soap making started as a project to replace the shower gel with soap.
The four bottles that I save from the four members in my family every month is me playing my part in a more sustainable lifestyle.
There are many simple ways that we can be sustainable. Being world earth day, it is a reminder to reevaluate our lifestyles and how we can make an effort to protect and restore our earth.
What are some lifestyle changes that you have made to becoming more eco conscious ?

Did you know that all soaps are not made the same way?

At Suds&Co we use the method of soap making called ‘Cold process soap’. When oil and lye is mixed together, it triggers the saponification process. This is made without any external heat applied to it.

The soap is then heated from inside out. It is left harden and is cut within 24 hours. A four week long cure periods then begins. The longer the soap is cured ,the harder and milder the bar .

It’s nice to be back after a short break. We worked on restocking as much as possible during this period. Here is a snipped of what our break looked like :))

It’s been a while posting anything on the grid. The last few weeks have been really hectic. Taking a small break to reenergize and also attend to my family and some really important that has been put off.

People always ask me what my favorite soap is.. anything with cinnamon eo. I love the warm comforting scent of cinnamon. This is ‘Emerald glow’.
