Tea, being one of the most popular beverages in the world, is consumed by millions of people every day. While the market is flooded with different varieties of tea, it is essential to understand the importance of testing tea quality at home. Here are two methods that can be used to test the quality of tea powders at home.
For this test I use two tea powder varieties. One i randomly selected from market.other one is the tea powder which distributed through the Ceylon Organic Taste and it is obtained directly from the tea export manufacturing factory.
Method 1 - Hot Water Test
The first method involves using hot water to test the quality of tea powder. For this test, two hot water pots are needed, and a spoonful of tea powder is put in each pot.The low-quality tea quickly changes the color of the hot water, while the high-quality tea takes about two minutes to change the color.
Method 2 - Normal Water Test
The second method involves using normal water to test the tea powder's quality. For this test, two pots of normal water are needed, and a spoonful of tea powder is put in each pot. Similar to the first method, the low-quality tea powder changes the normal water's color, while the high-quality tea powder changes the water's color very little.
Apart from the two methods mentioned above, the tea powder's appearance and smell can also help identify good quality tea. Generally, high-quality tea powders have a pleasant smell and low-quality ones have a less pleasant smell.
In conclusion, the tea power testing methods mentioned above can be easily replicated at home to ensure the quality of the tea powder being consumed. Testing tea powder quality is vital to ensure that the natural healthy product's goodness is present in the cup of tea brewed.
