Bible Reading: Psalm 51
Theme: THE LOVING KINDNESS OF GOD

Text Landmark: Psalms 51:1
1. "Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions."

Word X-ray
God's loving-kindness is often displayed in his care, grace, favour, grace, mercy, love and forgiveness. He is kind to us and would shows us his mercy not as man will do. He is kind in showing mercy and grace! We do gain access to God's presence by His kindness. We are blessed by His kindhearted Spirit, and by His tenderness and mercies. The flesh and blood of Jesus Christ made us to be acceptable, not because of our perfection, not by our good character, but his loving-kindness.

Self- justification and self-righteous life could rob or deny us God's loving-kindness; we are not free from committing error, for we are human, we may fail or fall into sin; only Jesus is born unblemish and flawless. Even after our submission to Christ Jesus, we can not bost of our works as a license for salvation - (Eph.2:8-9); we must relate with God as a humble and obedient child to his or her Father. If we would relish His mercy, we must humble. However, our access to God's mercy is not a license to falling into sin every momentโœ๏ธ

Prayer Capsules
1. Lord, in your kindness grant me prevailing mercy, grace and favour in Jesus name.
2. Lord, shower your love and affection on me.
3. Lord, let your loving kindness flow around my life in Jesus name.
4. Lord, let your Spirit of love engulf my lifeโœ๏ธ

LESSONS FROM THE DEATH OF JOHN THE BAPTIST.
I was in the bath this morning and something dropped in my mind that I'll like to share. The death of John the Baptist is a story we all know but God opened my eyes to something about it. John was arrested by Herod because he said he shouldn't marry Herodias, his brother's wife, he was offended and had him arrested but he never planned to kill him because he actually liked John, he just didn't like what he was saying about his marriage.

St. Mark 6:20 because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled ; yet he liked to listen to him.

There was a feast, Herod promised his daughter to ask for anything even to half his kingdom, anything she asked shall be given to him, the innocent girl went to ask her mom, what should I ask for? And the mum (Herodias) told her to ask for the head of John the Baptist to be brought to her on a platter. The king was pained but he couldn't object because a king's word is his bound.

Herodias has been looking for a way to kill John, but she never had the opportunity, and opportunity came that day, she used it.

St. Mark 6:19 So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she was not able to.

John on the other hand as anointed as he was didn't see his death coming. He knew his offense was not unto death, he probably felt he would soon be released but death came all of a sudden, his head was brought on a plate.

Lessons God wanted me to learn.
1. Herodias was a bad mother, her daughter had the opportunity to ask for good and beautiful things that can make her into a powerful woman, but instead she used her daughters opportunity to prosper to exact revenge on John thereby stealing her daughters opportunity and grace

2. John the Baptist didn't see that death coming, he actually felt he did the right thing by preaching against wrong marriage, but another thing is was that part of his ministry

One of the things you should not joke with this year is your prayer life, during the last year ymr , p. Daniel speaks about using every opportunity we have to pray and he made mention of even in traffic.

Your prayer life and prayer alter should not be cold this year, No gree for the devil ooo, no lose guard, always be at alert in the place of prayer.

Consistency in prayer gives you the opportunity to move closer to God and know what he has for you, prayer deepen your relationship with God and gives you better understanding of Him.

How did you intend to talk to God, if you are not praying, how did you intend to tell him what you need, if you don't want to pray.

Prayer should be your everyday lifestyle, don't joke with prayer, so that the devil will not joke with your life or gamble with it.

We will behold until we are formed.
We will qavah until we have strength.
We will pray until we are formed.

Keep pressing.

keep pushing.

Don't stop praying.
