12 years ago… i would never guess this could happen to me🥹💈 I was insecure, paralyzingly shy, couldn’t carry on a conversation, and had so many self-doubts. In the barbershop, if you truly open yourself up to the daily lessons.. it teaches you to have thick skin and become less reactive to the things that happen to you. It doesn’t happen right away, but overtime you get better at it. We are who we surround ourselves with and as time goes by, we branch off and attract certain clients that can influence our mindsets and perspectives. We are a hub of knowledge and a neutral zone for many. I’ve cried with clients, I’ve seen their wins and losses. Through those major life experiences, it teaches you so much about life and yourself as an individual. Never been an easy road, but as you continue to grow and really think about why you do things, you align yourself to the right opportunities and people. Growth can only happen through challenges or else you recycle the same experiences. Look for those roads and lean into it. It’s a calling that eventually turns into your purpose. You’ll find out if you stay consistent the way i did. It’s not impossible for ANYONE. I like to share this part of my life because no one would guess i would even get a stable job. And i now i get to do things that most people haven’t experienced in a short amount of time. All because i trusted the process and worked on things that could improve my personal development and my craft. 💈🫶🏼 #barber #barberjourney #personaldevelopment #barberlife
