Polynucleotides are small fragments of DNA molecules that are used in aesthetic medicine to repair and regenerate the skin. The main ingredient is purified DNA fragments dissolved in a sterile solution.
When they are injected under the eyes, they do not add volume like fillers. Instead, they work by improving the quality of the skin.
First, they stimulate fibroblasts, which are the skin cells that produce collagen and elastin. This helps the skin become stronger, thicker, and more elastic.
Second, they increase hydration in the skin. Polynucleotides attract water molecules, which helps the skin look more smooth and healthy.
