Dr Gujadhur and his Novel Neutraceutical Idea

Dr Rattan Gujadhur has spent all his professional life in the pharmaceutical business in the United States. He has key novel patents and discoveries to his name and was an outstanding person in the United States given citizenship based on his scientific contributions to the field of chemistry. He came back to Mauritius in 2017 to set up Nutri-Innov Pharmaceuticals with a novel idea to bring the very best of Neutraceuticals to Mauritius and Africa.

Neutraceuticals sales in Mauritius is currently not based on a quality model. Dr Gujadhur will be providing freeze dried medicinal plants to produce products ranging from cardiovascular support to liver support.

Using Mauritius as regional platform, we will be proposing the first ever development of solid based nutraceuticals at commercial scale from local and imported plant extracts using a practical, efficient and methodical process. This project/enterprise will fit very well within existing lab capabilities, local preclinical expertise, and accessibility to animal testing for safety and efficacy purposes. We will work in conjunction with a dedicated plot of agricultural land so medicinal plants can be grown under controlled organic conditions, and processed via a well-designed and dedicated freeze drying process. We will partner with a renowned medicinal institute in the US, Eclectic Institute ‘discovered’ after many years of research in the area of Neutraceutical in the US. Eclectic fits as a family owned high quality shop. There is a saturation of Neutraceuticals sales in the world. Companies like Herbalife, Dabur, and the 18 other big players have captured the global market. However, there remains valuable niche areas that can be exploited to create value, and improve regional health without emphasis on ‘just’ profits !
