The dishes I made for last night! This group of ladies fills my heart with joy!🥘❤️✨ opened her home and was the best hostess! We are cooking from cookbook and I made Paneer and Mushroom Masala and Shaved Eggplant and Zucchini with Fruits. These dishes reminded me of some of my favorite Ayurvedic recipes. The Masala will definitely be on repeat this fall!🍂

When a close family member has a health crisis, it is easy to slip into fight or flight mode and fall out of your healthy routine. Once you get to the other side, you can get back to the wellness practices that keep you balanced. This past year has reminded us how important it is to detox our bodies and add in high quality supplements when needed. Some things we’ve been focusing on:

•Sweating daily
•Drybrushing
•Massages or self-abhyanga (an Ayurvedic massage technique that brings balance to the body)
•CCF tea to gently detox the body
•Heavy metal detox smoothies
•High-quality supplements when needed
•Lemon balm to relax the nervous system
•Bedtime routine to enhance sleep quality

Adding in some vegetables this holiday season to boost our immune systems and feed the good bacteria in our guts! Some dishes I’ve made this holiday season.

Eating a diverse, plant-rich diet and taking a high-quality probiotic will help you cultivate a diverse and thriving gut microbiome, thereby improving overall health.

Our microbial makeups are similar to our fingerprints in that they’re unique to us, but there are steps we can all take to impact and improve our microbiome. There are both commensal (good) and pathogenic (bad) bacteria in our gut—and the good kind thrive on prebiotic fiber, plant diversity, and polyphenols. Probiotics, found in either supplement form or naturally occuring in fermented food, are a critical part of optimizing the gut microbiome, as they work to rebalance the gut environment, flooding the system with more of the good and crowding out the bad.

Fall is the perfect time to streamline your routine. By coming up with strong routines, you can minimize the choices you have to make every day. The choices we make every 24 hours, big or small, impact our health-meaning the power to feel better, look better, and create a life we love living is in our own hands.

When it comes to taking control of our health, metabolism is the perfect place to start. You may have thought that this beautifully complex chain of chemical reactions that your body uses to convert food into energy is fated by your genetics, but you can actually influence it through daily habits like nutrition, exercise, sleep, and mindfulness. By incorporating rituals that promote proper metabolic function into your routine, you maximize the nutrients from your food to balance hormones, boost energy, and improve s*x drive and quality of sleep.

Looking for more ways to stoke your metabolism? I’ll share tips for keeping your inner fire ignited over the next month!
