For our May Donations, along with a matching donation from Kelli Robu Aagard, we were able to donate 19 square meters of fleece and 4 oz of our Calendula Salve to The Sula Society. We also spent a day helping them walk dogs and had so much fun!
Remember, no donation or amount of time spent helping these dogs is too little. Even the smallest kindness can go a long way.

Our pug, Puka, got some bloodwork done and the vet had some problems finding the vein in her neck. She unfortunately had to get poked 5 times and, after a night of scratching, she woke up with some sores. We applied our Calendula Salve and let it do its work.

Within two days,the sores and scabs were gone and the skin was soothed and healed back together.

Let’s talk about Argyria:

Argyria is a skin condition caused by heavy exposure to silver particles that causes the skin pigmentation to turn blue. This condition is very rare and has only affected less than 30 people in the last 100 years.

I’m sure you have heard of the famous story of Paul Karason, the man who turned blue. And while the medical industry will have you believe he turned blue from small doses of Colloidal Silver. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

In an interview with Matt Lauer, Paul revealed that he had been taking large amounts internally (1/2 cup every day) and applying it topically every day for years. This caused the silver to quickly build up in his system, and eventually lead to his skin changing color as his body could not get rid of the silver fast enough.

Usually the recommended dose is a tablespoon or smaller, and it is not advised to take large doses every day. Other reports have included people who worked in silver mines, people applying medicals creams with up to 10% silver content, and factory workers heavily exposed to the metal.
