Every Morning, millions of women draw kolam on the ground with white rice flour.
In olden days, kolams were drawn in Coarse rice flour, so the ants would not have to walk too far or too long for a meal.

Margazhi - K O L A M ✨
Margazhi Kolam is also a predominant thing in this month at early morning. Women draws kolam infront of their house to welcome Lord Lakshmi. This is one of the tradition followed on this Margazhi month.
~Scientific Reason to wake earlier and Draw Kolam~
Earth become close to the ozone layer, they can inhale pure oxygen in the Early morning to draw kolam in Margazhi month.

The auspicious month of Margazhi is also known as Margasheersha. This month is also considered as divine month not only for humans and also Devas. It is a belief that, a devotee wake up very early in the morning and perform pooja during this month and women's draws kolam infront of their house in this month.
Isn't it intriguing, how a season like Margazhi brings to fore the traditional practices, classical music and art forms that lie dormant otherwise, losing its sheen in this digital age.
