[How We Make Soap at Melodies Handmade Soap]

At Melodies Handmade Soap, our all-natural soaps and shampoo bars are painstakingly handcrafted in small batches and lovingly made for all types of skin. Even a baby's delicate skin.

We source quality and natural ingredients only for our soaps. Unlike many commercial bath products, our soaps are free of artificial chemicals (silicones, sulfates etc), preservatives (paraben etc), fragrances and colours. In other words no nasties for our skin.

At Melodies Handmade Soap, we utilize the traditional, cold process method to produce our soap bars, which combines the quality plant oils with lye at a low temperature. This way all the natural goodness of our various ingredients are kept intact. The soaps are then cured for six to eight weeks. After the saponification is complete, the lye and oil have combined and changed into soap and glycerin. The rich glycerin content explains why our soaps are so moisturizing to your skin.

Our artisan soaps are infused with skin loving natural ingredients such as high quality plant oils (e.g. olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil, shea butter), aloe vera, eco-enzyme, gromwell root etc, and they are scented only with pure essential oils. We are confident our products will delight your senses and change the way you think of soap.
