Runaway Bella
An ambivert girl who loves to share her stories and personal experiences of places she traveled to. Bitten by the travel bug recently and is never cured since.
Need to satiate my #itchyfeet syndrome every now and again. Due to that, I started the RunawayBella.com website to share some of my more memorable travel experiences. I also like to take photos, preferably by being behind the lens although occasionally I do end up being the subject in the pictures. I sometimes share the photos that "made the cut" at my Instagram page - instagram.com/bellaenveeus

Anybody here ever thought of choosing Taiwan as your next destination?
I almost went to Taiwan a few years ago before Covid-19 and lockdowns robbed me of that chance. Not that it would hinder me of planning to go to this country next, especially since Taiwan will be opening its borders this 13th October.
Now on the day the Taiwan My Next Destination event was launched last Thursday, we were informed that Taiwan Tourism Bureau Kuala Lumpur Office has launched 200 "Oh Bear Go!" Cycling and Rail themed Taiwan Travel Advertising Vehicles (grabcar)..
Out of these 200 cars, you will be able to find 120 of them in Klang Valley, 40 in Johor and 40 in Penang. They will be on the roads from 6th October - 26th November 2022. They're so cool that they even made a mark in Malaysia's "Book of Record"!
Go grab a photo with the cars if you see them! And don't forget to check out and learn more about Taiwan. Who knows? Maybe this will be your next holiday destination!

Happy 25th Anniversary to the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR)!
It had been more than two years since I was in Hong Kong and had been missing the things we did, see, experience and bought home during that trip.
For the past few months, the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office has been sharing new attractions and developments in Hong Kong that would surely attract the travellers' heart in you and me. Some of the Marvels In Hong Kong are in sectors:
1) Arts & Cultures
2) Great Outdoors
3) Explore & Play
4) Shop & Dine
Come read more at runawaybella.com about the exciting updates Hong Kong had made and hopefully, by the time Hong Kong is quarantine-free, we can all go there and have fun!

What is the Movement Control Order (MCO) that was recently enforced by the Government of Malaysia?
Between 18th-31st March, Malaysia citizens should confine themselves in their own homes. No social gathering, no dining out, a majority will have to work from home, students are relieved from schools and universities and many more.
The Movement Control Order is made so that Malaysia could control the widespread of COVID-19 now as it approaches the 3rd wave (as informed by Malaysia's MOH DG).
Although specialists foresee that there will be more cases of positive COVID-19 patients in the near future, the Government of Malaysia is hoping to slow it down with these mitigation measures.
So, as law-abiding citizens, please follow the enforcements: stay at home, do not spread the virus, always wash your hands, do not touch your face, get tested if you have been in contact with a positive COVID-19 patient or have been to any of the active COVID-19 countries recently.
Make sure you know what the Movement Control Order (MCO) is. Respect the POLICE as they try to uphold and keep the law in order.
Malaysia will deploy Army Forces starting 22nd March to help assist Police Forces in containing "stubborn" Malaysians from going out (and further spreading the COVID-19 disease, if any). PLEASE BE WARNED and BE AWARE of this issue.
I can't stay this much more: STAY AT HOME.
If you need to purchase any essentials, the Supermarkets and shops are open to purchasing wet/dry home items. Some restaurants are also open but only available for delivery and take-away.

This is serious friends.
It is high risk to go to China, Japan, South Korea and Iran.
Better safe than sorry. It feels horrible to burn that plane ticket but would you rather come back to Malaysia and spread the disease that takes 14-21 days of incubation period to your family, friends and literal strangers before realizing you're a carrier and have to be hospitalized? If you managed to be healthy, what guarantees the people around you are too? And what if, you die? 😱
So yeah. Skip that trip for now.
This disease is no joke.

So, if you're bored and looking for a place to spend a quiet time at, you should put Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments or Swiss-Garden Beach Resort into consideration.
Located at Damai Laut, Perak, it's a nice place to pick as a retreat.
My husband and I had a great time chillaxing, breathing in the fresh air, enjoying all the facilities available at the resort and apartment as well as make our way to some of the attractions nearby and enjoying ourselves.
We had fun playing the games, enjoying the sauna, swimming in the huge pool, karaoke-ing and so many more.
One of the best things we did was enjoying the sunset at Swiss-Garden Beach Resort. It was breathtaking!

Remember my last post: Staycation at Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments?
In this post, I'm just sharing the place we had our meals at for the whole time my husband and I was at Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments.
This restaurant is called "The Garden Terrace". Located in Swiss-Garden Beach Resort, it is less than 5-minute drive or about 15-minute walk from Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments.
I'm lazy walking, so I had to drive. :P
There's a range of food for their buffet breakfast and dinner and also a very delicious ala-carte lunch menu. Yes, there are ala-carte choices for dinner too.
What I love about the restaurant is how bright and spacious it is. It is always comfortable eating in a brightly-lit place. The scenery outside the restaurant is also very breathtaking - how can you not love eating and looking out to the sea?
At night when the sky is dark, the restaurant is filled up with lights too.
Have you been to Swiss-Garden Beach Resort or Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments?
