Beauty Corner:

Whenever we go out, we must protect ourselves from the sun by applying sunscreen. Do you know what SPF,PA,PPD really mean?

1. SPF- It is the ability to protect against UVB or how long it can protect the skin from getting burn eg. if your skin get redden in 10 min under the skin then a SPF 15x10=150min of sun protection, SPF50x10= 500min of sun protection. Besides that SPF 15 can block 93% of UV while SPF 30 is 97%.

2. PA - It is the ability to protect against UVA eg. PA+, PA+++, PA++++. The more + the better it is.

3. PPD - Similar as PA and it is measured as 2-4, 4-6, 6-8, 8-10 eg. if your skin get redden in 10 min PPD 2-4 will have sun protection of 20-40min.
