If your foundation is making you look ashy, orange or just plain off, you may be using the wrong undertone!

Had the pleasure of meeting these two beautiful ladies. They wanted something simple yet suitable for their company dinner.

Did different style curls for both of them: alternating curls for finer hair and one way curls on either side for denser hair.

Was called in again to do brows, lashes and eyeliner for the Kaamatan festivities and a little touch up as well.

Doing the things you love and meeting awesome people are definitely perks of the job.

My last beauty article for was on Colour Seasons which I found fascinating. A slew of influencers have been flocking to South Korea for a consultation and it has taken the internet by storm with filters.

I tried uploading my photo to one such website and chose colours with a colour picker. While there was another pretty popular TT filter on colour season (which was featured in my article), this one superimposes fabric drapings to show which season would be your best match which is the closest I can get to a proper consultation 🤣.

Have you tried it? Comment below what’s your colour season. 😉

Vote below what do you think colour season is?

After ending on such a high in 2022, I have to say 2023 was a colourful ride. There were some beautiful moments, and there were some crazy lows too. This is going to be a longer post reflecting on the highlights (and pits) of my 2023. You have been warned. 🤣

In January, I resigned from several business engagements to embark and focus on finding myself, beginning my journey.

In February, the greater fambam lost a beautiful soul. 💔 Since the pandemic, we had not managed to drop by to see her but we did before she left us. So many travel and gathering memories and laughter to cherish.

March was a whirlwind! Attending and assisting in a wedding, attended talks, organized a talk for Sabah Social Entrepreneurs & Eco Development and U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur, flew to Johor for Rotary District 3310 Training Assembly for my first facilitating experience in PETS & DTA. 🤟🏻

Started my 3 months stay in Sydney at my brother's in April and celebrated Raya abroad for the first time ever. Had a quiet Raya lunch with my brother and cousin in Melbourne. First time ever all the siblings were celebrating Raya separately. This was also the month I lost one of my fur babies, Emrys. That was a tough time for me especially being so far from him. Grateful for Azlan Shah for helping me take care of him and video calling so I could see him one last time. 💔😭

May and June was filled with precious time spent with my brother Nazim who I had not seen since Jan 2020. Thank you for bringing me places!! Met with family, picked mandarins, went whale watching, went on a picnic, visited Canberra, had the yummiest food, met friends, and so much more in what had to be some of the coldest weather of that season. Also cooked the most during this trip than I ever had in my lifetime. 😂

Came back in July, went straight to work and a wedding. Rekindled with a new appreciation of the affordability of life here. Australia gave much perspective. And the busyness of our Club Installation. Phew.

August through November was a slew of invitations, events, talks, seminars, trainings and work stuff including the PearlEmpower Market and Passion8 Creative Space collaborating with JUMPA for breast cancer awareness and bringing Persatuan Milenial Usahawan Wanita Maju Sabah members to SIE2024. 😎 Somewhere in between there was also an end to a friendship that had ran its course.😔

Also, I got nominated for the inaugural Asia Women Tech Leaders Award 2024! 😍💖 And joined the Go Digital ASEAN team of trainers, doing what I love and meeting so many wonderful people along the way.

We also finally began repairs on our family home after living with the repercussions of a major reno done 7 years ago. There were some slight hiccups this time around but works are almost complete! 🙏🏻

December, my birthday month. I entered into the 4-series leagues. Haha. Had a triple celebration this year. Thank you to the Rema Synergy team, the Rotary Club Of Kota Kinabalu Pearl BOD, and my little fambam for celebrating my Ruby birthday last month. There was work and having a sick week, and the month also ended with 2 (out of 4 invitations) weddings. 🎉✨

So, HELLO 2024! So many things swirling in my head on the possibilities and potential this year brings. To more blessings, growing, learning, sharing, possibilities, opportunities, joy, happiness and love for all of us from my heart to yours.

Hope you get rich! 💰😉
