❓ Do you have wide shoulders and a narrow waist?
❓ Do you relatively thin joints, and round muscle bellies?
❓ Do you have a medium sized bone structure and athletic bodies?

If your answer is yes to the above questions, you are a mesomorph.

You are the ideal body type.
You find it quite easy to gain and lose weight. People with this body type are naturally strong which is the perfect platform for building muscle.

Does this mean you can do nothing, eat everything, and get away with it forever? Definitely not—and you're not necessarily healthier than the other two types, either. But you may be able to "bounce back" from being out of shape more easily than the other two body types, gaining muscle and burning fat with comparative ease.

Combination of weight training and cardio works best for mesomorphs. Gains are usually seen very quickly, especially for beginners.

Mesomorphs typically do best on a mixed diet, consisting of a good balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

❓Do you have a fast metabolic rate?

If yes, then you are an ectomorph.

Ectomorphs tends to have a lean build, long limbs, and small muscle bellies. Even if an ectomorph manages to put on weight, they may still look skinnier than they are, particularly in the calves and forearms.

Being an ectomorph doesn't mean you're doomed to be weak, though. You can still get remarkably strong, and you can be every bit as fit and healthy as someone who looks larger and more muscular. But if you want to gain weight, you'd better be prepared to eat like you've never eaten before.

Ectomorphs do best on higher carb diets with moderate protein intake and lower fat in the diet. You should eat before bed to prevent muscle catabolism during the night.

Workouts should be short and intense focusing on big muscle groups.

❓Have slower metabolisms and generally have a difficult time shedding fats?
❓Do you also tend to gain weight and muscle easily?

If it is a yes for all 3, then you are an endomorph.
It can feel a little undesirable but it does have its benefits as well.
This body type has the best strength advantage out of the three different body types.

To lose weight, you should train their overall body to see results and not just focus on one area.

If you would like to bulk up, HIIT workouts are the best for you but if you would like to just be lean, LISS (low-intensity steady state cardio) would be better.

To lose or maintain weight, take in more protein, fiber, and healthy fats and reduce your carb intakes. Your body type has lower carbohydrate tolerance and is great at storing energy and fats.

But can you shed weight and have a tone/lean body?
Yes, sure you can!
