Pre and postoperative photos of 37 women and 12 men who underwent facial rejuvenation procedures like facelifts, brow lifts and eyelid cosmetic surgery (blepharoplasty) were evaluated by independent reviewers. Study results showed that plastic surgery made people look about three years younger but had an insignificant effect on their perceived attractiveness.

Facial attractiveness is determined by the balance of your features (nose, chin, cheeks and jawline). Plastic surgeries that change the size and shape of these features can alter attractiveness.

So, it makes perfect sense that facelifts, brow lifts and eyelid surgeries can help you appear younger, but cannot be expected to change your level of attractiveness. That being said, consider one more factor: younger is usually perceived as more attractive.

There's more to tummy tucks than meets the eye

A recent study showed that tummy tucks following major weight loss may do more than improve your appearance. Gangnam accounts for more than 20 percent of the country's medical tourism. Overall, plastic surgeons in the city have performed nearly 650,000 plastic surgery procedures on women in 2012.

South Korea's love affair with plastic surgery has garnered much attention over the years with the rise of Korean pop music and technology. The growing popularity of Korean culture and its influence on the rest of the world might be a reason for the staggering increase in travel to Seoul-based clinics, several plastic surgeons told the news source.
