A Mother’s Heart Sank Overnight…

Just two days earlier, everything seemed completely normal.

Then suddenly, red spots began appearing on her child’s arms and legs. By the next morning, both feet had become swollen. Like any parent, she felt worried and uncertain about what was happening.

The family tried their best to care for the child at home, but the symptoms persisted. Although the swelling in the left foot improved after medication, the right foot remained swollen. Soon after, the child also began experiencing fatigue and abdominal pain.

What initially appeared to be a simple skin rash turned out to be something more serious.

After further medical assessment and urine testing, the child was suspected to have Henoch–Schönlein Purpura (HSP) — a condition that causes inflammation of the small blood vessels and may affect the skin, joints, digestive system, and kidneys.

💡 This case reminds us that not all rashes are “just a rash.” When unusual skin changes are accompanied by swelling, abdominal pain, or fatigue, they should never be ignored.

✨ After 3 days of proper management and close monitoring:
• Symptoms started to improve after the 3rd day of application
• No new lesions were observed
• The joint pain subsided
• No more stomachache

• Passed urine tests twice

That was one of the happiest moments for this family after seeing their child struggle with eczema since just 2 months old. 💔

For a month, the skin condition kept getting worse — severe redness, swelling, crusting, dry cracked skin, and constant scratching that disturbed sleep almost every night. Even simple daily activities became uncomfortable. As parents, watching your child suffer day after day is truly heartbreaking. 🥺

On 10 November, the eczema condition was classified as **Severe Eczema** with a SCORAD score of **91**. The inflammation had spread across multiple areas of the body, causing intense irritation and discomfort. The child had previously received treatment from Hospital Miri and was using Aq Cream together with Mometasone cream once daily, but the skin still remained sensitive and inflamed.

Eczema recovery journey in just 14days ✨💛

Since very young age of 6 years old the patient has been struggling with eczema and has a strong family history of eczema, affecting both siblings and his mother. Over the years, the condition became increasingly difficult to manage, causing intense redness, swelling, scratching, crusting, dryness, and severe discomfort. 💔

On Day 0, the condition was classified as **Severe Eczema**, with a SCORAD score of **86.5**. Sleep was frequently disturbed due to constant itchiness, and daily activities became uncomfortable and emotionally exhausting.
