*WHY YOU SHOULD USE A SCRUB/ EXFOLIATE*
We all want smooth soft skin. Your body is covered in a layer of dead skin cells. The lotion that u put on ur skin has to work its way through layers of dead skin cell just to reach the top layer.
No matter how much body lotion u put on your dead skin cells, they still remain dead skin cells. If u want a healthy smooth skin, you must slough them off.
*HOW TO USE*
Gently rub it all over ur body, leave it for 20mins or more and wash off.
What's the deal with eye cream?
It's just moisturizer sold in a tiny tub for twice the price. You don't need it.
Use a light regular moisturizer around the eye area. Make sure you apply sunscreen around your eyes as well.
Sorry, but there’s no over-the-counter cream that actually fixes wrinkles.
If you read the fine print, you'll see that products claim to decrease "the appearance" of fine lines and wrinkles, not the wrinkles themselves.
A few other things you should know.
Your foundation has SPF? That's great, but you still need sunscreen.
Sunscreen has to be put on as a thick layer to ensure it is effective. You are not likely to layer on enough foundation to achieve the same results as a dedicated sunscreen lotion.
Unscented does not mean the same thing as fragrance free.
Fragrance-free means that fragrance materials or masking scents are not used in the product. Unscented generally means that the product may contain chemicals that neutralize or mask the odors of other ingredients.

Hairspray
Some people like to set their makeup with hairspray. This can lead to skin irritation, dryness and clogged pores leading to pimples
Cinnamon
Some people have violent allergic reactions to cinnamon and may develop burns on the skin.
Alcohol
Alcohol is added to skincare to make it more cosmetically elegant e.g to make lotions feel lighter and dry faster on the skin. Some people find alcohol very irritating and drying on the skin. Others have no problem.
Body lotion
Unless specified, body lotion is just for the body and should not be used on the face. The skin of the face is very sensitive and easily reacts to certain chemicals that would not be problematic on the body. Also some of the things in body lotion make make you break out in rashes or pimples.
That is why facial moisturizers are often more expensive than body lotions.
Sugar scrubs
Harsh exfoliation with sugar scrubs can cause microscopic tears in the skin which can make the skin react by becoming inflammed and eventually getting darker. Avoid harsh scrubs on your face ncluding exfoliating brushes.
Lemon juice
Lemon juice is extremely caustic and acidic. It can burn your skin if you are careless with it. Lemon juice is also phototoxic. That means that it reacts with the sun to cause burns on the skin. If you must use it, use it only at night.
Hot water
You may feel that using hot water helps to really remove dirt from the skin. It actually dries out the skin and makes it more fragile. Bathe with lukewarm water instead.
So, I'm going to tell you about a couple of things you shouldn't use on your skin.
How to make a simple niacinamide serum
This is a 5% serum. This means that in every 100g of serum there is 5g of niacinamide.
The formula to make 100g of serum:
5% (5g) niacinamide
94.5% (94.5g) water
0.5% (0.5g) liquid germall plus
Niacinamide is a useful, proven skin brightener which also helps to gently fade dark marks.
This is a very basic serum but it's a great gateway product if you're new to making your own skincare.
There are lots of other things that can be added to this serum to make it richer as you become more confident in making skincare. 😁
Skincare doesn't have to be complicated even though some people try to make it so. That way they can sell you more stuff that you don't need.
But if that's what you enjoy, 👍.
No judgement.
2. Check for a warning that tells you to keep the product away from silver, gold, rubber, aluminum, and jewelry. Mercury can damage these.
