Here's the difference between MONOMER AND ACETONE.

Monomer

Monomer is the liquid used to create acrylic nails. It's mixed with acrylic powder (polymer) to form a bead that hardens into an acrylic nail.

It has a strong smell and is used during the application of acrylic nails.

Acetone

Acetone is a solvent used to remove nail products. It's commonly used to soak off acrylic nails, gel polish, dip powder, and nail glue.

It is not used to create nails.

A simple way to remember it is:

Monomer = builds acrylic nails.
Acetone = removes acrylic and other nail products.

So they have completely different purposes, even though both are liquids used in nail services.
