There was this Ghanaian guy who used to do my hair when I was in Nnewi. Honestly, when it comes to weavon and styling natural hair, that guy was a real professional. He was my personal hair pro that year.

I’ve missed him so much because I no longer have his contact and there’s no way to trace him. The funny thing is, anytime I came to the salon, he would even refuse to do a normal weavon for me. Instead, he would style my natural hair without adding any artificial attachments, and the result was always so beautiful.

Whenever I stepped out, people would keep asking me, “Who made this your hair?” That’s how good he was. I even brought him a lot of clients because people loved the way he styled my hair.

Sometimes I wish I could find another hairstylist that can replace him, but the truth is… it hasn’t been easy. And to be honest, I don’t really like ladies doing my hair. I prefer male hairstylists because they tend to handle my hair more gently and they give me exactly the style I want.

I’m not really a fan of plaiting hair. It’s not because of money, it’s just not my style.

Even though I have beautiful wigs, most times I still prefer my simple all-back weaving.
