WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT AYURVEDA AND HAIR PART1
Ayurveda
Ayurveda was developed in India over 3,000 years ago, Ayurveda is a traditional natural treatment technique that is still widely used today. The words "ayur" (life) and "veda" (knowledge or science) in Sanskrit are the origin of the phrase "Ayurveda," which simply means "the science of life." In order to avoid disease and promote health, this holistic medical approach aims to keep the body, mind, and spirit in balance. The three doshas, or biological energies present in the human body and mind, are the central idea of Ayurveda. These are called Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. All mental and bodily functions are governed by these doshas, which are derived from the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and ether. Physical and psychological characteristics are determined by an individual's prakriti, or constitution, which is a unique blend of these doshas.
Ayurveda has a strong emphasis on:
1. preventive care:
Which includes mindful living, seasonal activities, daily routines, and a healthy diet. Natural healing is the process of treating illness and reestablishing equilibrium by using minerals, oils, plant-based remedies, and herbs.
2. Rejuvenation and detoxification: With treatments like Panchakarma, which is a cleansing and detoxification procedure.
3. Mind-body connection: Activities that promote well-being include yoga, meditation, and pranayama, or breathing techniques.
Ayurveda seeks to address the underlying cause of imbalance and customize treatment for each patient, in contrast to contemporary Western medicine, which frequently concentrates on symptoms and illnesses. The World Health Organization acknowledges it as a traditional medical system, and it still has an impact on wellness practices globally.
