In the 1970s, when the Western world heard about the divine presence of our Father, Leader Olumba, they came searching for him. They came with promises - promises of wealth, education, fame, and prestige.
They wanted him to travel with them, to teach and lead in their institutions, to be admired by the world. But the Father declined. Gently yet firmly, he told them that he did not come for material gain or human recognition. His mission was not for luxury, but for love.
If he wanted, he could have lived in palaces, worn the finest designers, and surrounded himself with grandeur. Yet, he chose simplicity - he would wear a plain white shirt and shorts or a singlet over wrapper.
