We can do all

Few days ago, a sachet water seller walked past me while I was eating and asked if I wanted water. I looked at her weirdly and snubbed her. In my mind, I murmured, “If I wanted water, I would have called you. Common sense should tell you that.”

As I continued eating, something struck me and I began to see the situation differently — in a way I could personally relate to.

Around here, or even generally, it already seems normal that water sellers are meant to wait to be called.

All they usually do is chant their regular “pure water” to announce their presence, then those who need them call them over. I guess that was why it sounded abnormal to me.

But later, I realized this little girl wasn’t just selling water — she understood her target audience.

She dared to do something different by approaching people first before they called for her.

That simple act can make someone who forgot they needed water suddenly remember and buy from her instead of the next seller they see later. It can even make someone who never intended to buy water end up buying it.

That moment taught me something important about business and visibility.
To you reading this: Do you recognize your target audience when you see them? And how do you get their attention?

You must understand that as your brand grows, it will naturally outgrow some clients and customers. If you are committed to improving yourself, investing in your business, and expanding your knowledge, then you also have to understand that not everyone will grow with you.

As you improve, your prices will most likely increase too, because growth comes with greater investments, better service delivery, more experience, and higher standards.

Some of the people who started with you may not remain at every stage of your journey — not because of a fallout or because you failed to deliver, but simply because your brand has evolved beyond what they can currently afford or prioritize.

At the same time, there will always be customers who recognize your growth, see the value in your improvements, and willingly grow with your price adjustments because they understand the quality you now bring to the table.

So when you see someone choose another vendor because they charge less, do not beat yourself up.

Know your worth, trust your growth, and understand that not every customer is meant for every stage of your business journey.

PS: Please do not confuse poor service delivery with price increments. Growth should reflect in quality, professionalism, and value.

Twenty five years of LIFE and four Years of Faith, Resilience, and Growth

As I celebrate this day, I'm reminded of the journey that brought me here. Starting from scratch wasn't easy, but my name reflects my character – strong and determined.

Throughout my journey, prayer has been my anchor. I prayed for guidance, for opportunities, and for strength. And when challenges arose, I prayed for perseverance. Even now, as I look back on my progress, I continue to pray.

When I first started sharing my business online, I was fueled by passion and excitement. I cherished every small milestone and enjoyed the process, even when resources were scarce. I recall struggling to afford essential tools, working with limited equipment, and facing financial challenges that made it hard to support myself, let alone my sister.

But through it all, God has been my rock, fighting for me and glorifying Himself in my life. I'm grateful for His presence and provision. I believe in His timing, and though it may take longer than expected, I'm committed to trusting His plan.

I'm thankful for the people He's placed in my life, who validate my efforts and encourage me to keep pushing forward. While my four-year journey may differ from others' experiences, I know that my growth and achievements are unique to me.

Happy birthday to me and my brand – here's to many more years of growth, learning, and success!
