Am I the only one noticing this? The Trophy that was given to Remo Stars in 2024/25 season was not the same trophy given to Rangers in 2025/26.

Why?

Inconsistency!

Remember that the tittle decider went to the final match. Rivers United could have won the tittle, in Rivers state, and Rangers could have also won the trophy in Lagos state.

And now, the league had just one official trophy.

And prior to the last match, the League body said they won’t get a helicopter to deliver the “only” trophy to the match venues.

Instead, they opted to duplicating the trophies. One in Rivers incase Rivers wins, and one in Lagos incase Lagos wins.

And mathematical with the trend in Nigeria league, the original trophy was sent to Rivers state, because they had clear edge of winning since they had a home advantage.

The League body thought it was impossible for Rangers to go to Lagos and win the match since Ikorodu City was also fighting for continental place.

The bottom line, the Rangers trophy was a duplicate of the original one, it was a backup trophy.

I know the NPFL will still deny this.
