You can buy every product on the shelf. But if what you are eating is poor, your hair will tell the truth. So when your body is lacking nutrients, your hair is the first place it stops sending them.
What your hair needs from your food ๐
๐ฅฉ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ โ your hair is literally made of protein. Low protein diet equals weak, brittle, shedding hair. Eat your eggs, fish, beans, and meat.
๐ฟ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฃโ iron deficiency is one of the biggest hidden causes of hair loss especially in women. If your hair is shedding excessively, check your iron levels first.
๐๐ฝ๐๐ค๐ฉ๐๐ฃ โ found in eggs, nuts, and sweet potatoes. Supports hair strength and growth.
๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง โ a dehydrated body means a dry scalp. It really is that simple.
๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฉ๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ โ avocado, olive oil, nuts. Your scalp needs fat to stay moisturised from the inside.
Signs your diet is affecting your hair:
โ Excessive shedding
โ Slow or no growth
โ Dull, lifeless strands
โ Dry scalp that won't respond to products
No serum can fix what a poor diet is causing. ๐ฑ

๐จ ๐๐๐พ๐๐ ๐๐พ๐ผ๐๐? your scalp is talking. Are you listening?
Scratching feels like a solution but it is not. Itching is a symptom. Something underneath is wrong and your scalp is alerting you.
Here is what could be causing it ๐
๐งด ๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ช๐๐ฉ ๐๐ช๐๐ก๐๐ช๐ฅ โ too many products, not enough washing. Your follicles are blocked and suffocating.
๐ง ๐ฟ๐ง๐ฎ ๐จ๐๐๐ก๐ฅ โ not enough moisture inside or outside. Drink your water. Oil your scalp.
๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐ช๐๐ โ this is fungal, not just dryness. Greasy yellowish flakes mean you need an antifungal shampoo, not just a moisturiser. Aim for natural based shampoo...
๐ค ๐๐๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ก๐๐จ โ your scalp is inflamed and under tension. Loosen things up before you lose your edges.
๐งช ๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ช๐๐ฉ ๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ง๐๐ฎ โ that new shampoo or hair dye might be the problem. When in doubt, stop using it.

๐ฑ ๐๐พ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐๐ผ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐! because healthy hair doesn't start at your ends. It starts at your roots.
We spend so much time focused on our hair strands, the moisturising, the styling, the protecting. And those things matter. But if your scalp is not healthy, nothing you put on your hair will give you the results you're looking for.
Think of your scalp like soil. You cannot grow a healthy plant in dry, neglected, unhealthy soil. The same way you cannot grow strong, thriving hair from a scalp that is itchy, clogged or dry.
Signs your scalp is trying to tell you something ๐
โ ๐พ๐ค๐ฃ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ โ your scalp is either too dry or product is building up
โ ๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ โ could be dryness, dandruff, or a fungal issue
โ ๐๐ญ๐๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ โ your follicles may be under stress
โ ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ โ clogged follicles slow down everything
โ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ ๐ค๐ง ๐จ๐ค๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ โ inflammation is happening underneath
What your scalp actually needs:
๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ โ a dry scalp cannot produce healthy hair. Drink your water and oil your scalp with lightweight oils like peppermint, tea tree, or jojoba and any oil that is good for your hair porosity!
๐งด ๐๐๐๐ช๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐ฃ๐ โ product buildup and sweat block your follicles. Wash consistently not obsessively, but regularly at appropriate wash day routine!
๐คฒ ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฅ ๐ข๐๐จ๐จ๐๐๐๐จ โ even 5 minutes a day increases blood circulation to your follicles and stimulates growth. This one is free. Do it.
๐ซ ๐๐๐จ๐จ ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ โ tight braids, tight ponytails, and heavy extensions/ attachments pulled too hard damage your follicles over time. Your edges are telling you the truth.
๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ข ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐ โ iron, zinc, biotin, and protein all show up or fail to show up in your hair. What you eat matters more than any product.
Your hair is only as strong as the foundation it grows from.
Start with the scalp. Everything else follows. ๐ฟ

โ๏ธ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐ฟ: Trimming does NOT make your hair grow faster!!
Let's settle this once and for all!!!!!
Your hair grows from the scalp not the ends. Trimming the ends of your hair has absolutely zero effect on what is happening at your roots. Zero. Your scalp doesn't even know you just visited the salon. So why does everyone swear their hair grew after a trim?
Here's the truth ๐
When your ends are split, weak, and damaged, they break off faster. So even though your hair is growing, you never seem to retain the length. It feels like your hair is "not growing" , but it is. It's just breaking at the same rate with your hair growth. So NO RESULTS, and you come with different complains like: "๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐'๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐" "๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐" "๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐"
But When you trim those damaged ends, you remove the breakage. Your hair grows at its normal rate and this time, it stays. That's why it seems like trimming caused growth. It didn't. It just stopped the breakage that was hiding your progress.
What actually grows your hair?
๐ฟ A healthy scalp
๐ง Moisture and proper nutrition
๐งด Gentle handling, no rough detangling, no excessive heat
๐ด Protecting your hair at night!
Trim when your ends need it. Not because it grows your hair, but because healthy ends mean the length you grow actually shows.
Drop a questions in the comments if you've been trimming and waiting for growth that never came!
Allow your hair to BREATHE!!!!!
