You can buy every product on the shelf. But if what you are eating is poor, your hair will tell the truth. So when your body is lacking nutrients, your hair is the first place it stops sending them.

What your hair needs from your food ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿฅฉ ๐™‹๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ž๐™ฃ โ€” your hair is literally made of protein. Low protein diet equals weak, brittle, shedding hair. Eat your eggs, fish, beans, and meat.
๐ŸŒฟ ๐™„๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฃโ€” iron deficiency is one of the biggest hidden causes of hair loss especially in women. If your hair is shedding excessively, check your iron levels first.
๐Ÿ’Š๐˜ฝ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ โ€” found in eggs, nuts, and sweet potatoes. Supports hair strength and growth.
๐Ÿ’ง๐™’๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง โ€” a dehydrated body means a dry scalp. It really is that simple.
๐Ÿฅ‘ ๐™ƒ๐™š๐™–๐™ก๐™ฉ๐™๐™ฎ ๐™›๐™–๐™ฉ๐™จ โ€” avocado, olive oil, nuts. Your scalp needs fat to stay moisturised from the inside.

Signs your diet is affecting your hair:

โŒ Excessive shedding
โŒ Slow or no growth
โŒ Dull, lifeless strands
โŒ Dry scalp that won't respond to products
No serum can fix what a poor diet is causing. ๐ŸŒฑ

Quick fixes that actually work:

โœ… Clarify your scalp monthly
โœ… Make use of natural based ingredient shampoo, don't forget to use a natural based deep conditioner and leave in conditioner with the oil that works well for your hair.
โœ… Use diluted apple cider vinegar as a rinse if you are on locs
โœ… Stop scratching with your nails โ€” use your fingertips, follow good hair routines and good hair practices

We spend so much time focused on our hair strands, the moisturising, the styling, the protecting. And those things matter. But if your scalp is not healthy, nothing you put on your hair will give you the results you're looking for.
Think of your scalp like soil. You cannot grow a healthy plant in dry, neglected, unhealthy soil. The same way you cannot grow strong, thriving hair from a scalp that is itchy, clogged or dry.

What your scalp actually needs:

๐Ÿ’ง ๐™ƒ๐™ฎ๐™™๐™ง๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ โ€” a dry scalp cannot produce healthy hair. Drink your water and oil your scalp with lightweight oils like peppermint, tea tree, or jojoba and any oil that is good for your hair porosity!

๐Ÿšซ ๐™‡๐™š๐™จ๐™จ ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™จ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ โ€” tight braids, tight ponytails, and heavy extensions/ attachments pulled too hard damage your follicles over time. Your edges are telling you the truth.

โœ‚๏ธ ๐™ˆ๐™”๐™๐™ƒ ๐˜ฝ๐™๐™Ž๐™๐™€๐˜ฟ: Trimming does NOT make your hair grow faster!!

Let's settle this once and for all!!!!!
Your hair grows from the scalp not the ends. Trimming the ends of your hair has absolutely zero effect on what is happening at your roots. Zero. Your scalp doesn't even know you just visited the salon. So why does everyone swear their hair grew after a trim?

Here's the truth ๐Ÿ‘‡

When your ends are split, weak, and damaged, they break off faster. So even though your hair is growing, you never seem to retain the length. It feels like your hair is "not growing" , but it is. It's just breaking at the same rate with your hair growth. So NO RESULTS, and you come with different complains like: "๐šข๐š˜๐šž๐š› ๐š‘๐šŠ๐š’๐š› ๐š’๐šœ๐š—'๐š ๐š๐š›๐š˜๐š ๐š’๐š—๐š" "๐š‚๐š๐šž๐š—๐š๐šŽ๐š ๐š‘๐šŠ๐š’๐š› ๐š๐š›๐š˜๐š ๐š๐š‘" "๐šˆ๐š˜๐šž๐š› ๐š‘๐šŠ๐š’๐š› ๐šŒ๐šŠ๐š—๐š—๐š˜๐š ๐š๐š›๐š˜๐š  ๐š•๐š˜๐š—๐š"

But When you trim those damaged ends, you remove the breakage. Your hair grows at its normal rate and this time, it stays. That's why it seems like trimming caused growth. It didn't. It just stopped the breakage that was hiding your progress.

What actually grows your hair?
๐ŸŒฟ A healthy scalp
๐Ÿ’ง Moisture and proper nutrition
๐Ÿงด Gentle handling, no rough detangling, no excessive heat
๐Ÿ˜ด Protecting your hair at night!
Trim when your ends need it. Not because it grows your hair, but because healthy ends mean the length you grow actually shows.

Drop a questions in the comments if you've been trimming and waiting for growth that never came!
