The marbled cat (Pardofelis marmorata) is a highly elusive feline native to the dense tropical forests of South and Southeast Asia, ranging from the Himalayan foothills down to the islands of Borneo and Sumatra.
What makes this canopy dweller truly unique is its hyper-flexible, double-jointed ankles, an evolutionary quirk that allows it to rotate its hind paws 180 degrees and climb straight down tree trunks headfirst, much like a squirrel.
To pull off these high-altitude acrobatics, it relies on an extraordinarily thick, bushy tail that is often longer than its entire head and body combined, acting as a perfect counterbalance while it silently navigates the fragile branches high above the forest floor.

Tree kangaroos are seen in rainforest canopies of New Guinea (Papua New Guinea and Indonesian Papua) and Far North Queensland, Australia.
They ate basically “kangaroos that became climbers” their ankles can rotate and their broad, grippy feet and curved claws let them move on branches like a slow, careful primate.
Most species are threatened by forest loss and hunting, and exact totals are often unknown, but some of the rarest tree-kangaroos are thought to have only a few thousand or even just a few hundred left in the wild.

The tongues of leopards (Panthera pardus) are covered with tiny barbs or hooks, giving them a rough texture. These hooks help them to groom their own coat as well as the coats of others, an activity which helps leopards to bond.
