Why I love this business!

This business means a lot to me.
I remember starting out, not as a business but as a passion.
I had this classmate back then in uni, she will come to class with full face beat and I used to wonder how she did it.
That was when I decided to learn how to do makeup.
I finished learning around the time I was finishing from school. Immediately I finished I got a job and I didn’t even remember how I applied for it.

So I got a call from someone asking if I was a makeup artist and that I should come for an interview.
I got to the venue of the interview and called the person that invited me for the interview (in my mind I thought it was just a small job that I will be doing to while away time).
I called her to ask her where she was and that I needed to go somewhere so she could hurry. I didn’t know it was the HR manager that I was calling. She told me she couldn’t decide how long it would take her because she wasn’t the one driving. You can imagine me o…

So while I was waiting I decided to ask the person sitting beside me about what she came for, that was when she told me the name of the company employing and the makeup brand of the company.

I was like “Ahhhh, me I never hear this one before o.” So as a sharp girl, I quickly googled the company and read a little about the company before the HR team arrived.

When they came, she was like “Who is Dolapo? I thought you said you had to go somewhere.” I just told her I changed my mind. So I was interviewed first. Luckily for me after asking some background questions about me, then she asked about the company. Ahhhh see God, that was how I downloaded everything I had read. And I was feeling cool with myself.

I did the second stage of my interview and then the final stage and then got the job.

Worked with the company for about a year and while working was when I decided to take makeup as my full time job. Prior to that time I never knew people could make money from doing makeup full time and since then we’ve been moving.
This story isn’t complete yet. Will complete it someday.
