Filling the Empty Space

Allow God to fill that empty space in your heart. This is a deliberate decision no one will do it for you.

Eat well, even when your taste buds feel dead. Your body needs strength even when your spirit tends to give up.

Listen to me folks, If you still have your husband or wife, raise their flag higher than you are already doing right now.

Give them the best love you can, create and share beautiful memories together because those memories will one day become your fuel. They are what is keeping me and the boys strong now.
My wife’s testimonies, her words whispered to me, her affirmations in front of our boys, those gestures shoot me up like a projectile every single day. God helped us achieve a beautiful life together, we when we remember she is no more to continue to be part of it.

Men, respect your women. The work they do in the home is never easy. Today, I must take up her responsibilities as a mother and still be a father. This is my challenge and I have accepted it.

My case is different. I refuse the spirit of despair, the spirit that drives people to su***de, the spirit that makes one look dead while still alive. As my boys and I must pass through the tough times, our case is different.

To anyone in our shoes: this is something you must think about and pray about. I told God;

“This challenge has come to me early with these boys, but we will pull through because you are with us. I told God even if not for me preserve me for the boys.
Provide for us, make a way where there seems to be no way. Let me stand as both father and mother.”

And Lord, if in years to come it is your will for me to remarry, give us a woman who is Angelic, God-fearing, and without a contrary spirit.

My love, Rejoice, I am here for the boys. I can’t do this alone. I need your spirit to be with us, guiding and protecting us in the realm of the spirit, because you are now our guiding angel.

Losing someone so dear especially when you are not prepared is a world-shaking blow. But since God gives me the mind and body to survive this hit, I and the boys have conquered the world.

I’m not thinking about myself now; I’m thinking about the boys. Affliction shall not rise a second time. This cross I have carried and I know God will see us through to the end. My wife Rejoice Marcellina Timothy will always smile from above knowing we are doing even better.

And let me tell you something: self-pity is a thief. It will drag you down to nothing, scatter you, and make rebuilding ten times harder. I felt it try to creep in a few days ago, but my heart is fully occupied now there’s no room for it.

The devil may challenge me, but I am not alone. The God who created both the devil and me is by my side, so I will stand. This new phase of our journey will be triumphant.

Like it or not, there are people out there who are happy your loved ones are gone. Not everyone who came crying into my house was truly sympathizing. Some were watching to see what would happen to me and my boys. They will not see our downfall. Dem Go Choke!

So my fellow colleague in pain let's wake up. Eat well. Be strong. There is work ahead, and the success of that work is up to you and me. God is closer now than ever before, listen to His quiet voice, and take courage and take action.

It’s okay to cry, but start gathering the pieces and rebuilding. This challenge hits each of us differently. I have even begun to see the hidden sides, strengths, weakness in my boys through this season.

And here’s my little secret: when I need to cry, I go to the washroom. Yes, it’s for bathing, peeing, and pooing but I’ve discovered it’s also a sacred place to pour out my tears in private then shower afterwards come strong.

Let's go out there and conquer the world.
