20 years old Pelumi Onifade was a journalist with Gboah TV. He was sh*t and arrested while covering the EndSARS protest on October 24, 2020. Pelumi's body, tagged 1385, was said to be deposited at the Ikorodu General Hospital morgue on November 3, 2020. Following the identification of his body by his family, the police denied that he was among those they arrested on October 24. They claimed they found his body on the ground and took it to the morgue

LASUTH received the co**se from the Ikorodu General Hospital and conducted a postmortem examination. Pelumi's body was not released to the family and the autopsy result was not revealed. Pelumi's case has since remained in court over the unresolved circumstances surrounding his de@th. On March 3, 2026, The Lagos State coroners' court in Ikeja gave a two-week deadline to the chief medical director of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) to provide an update on the whereabouts of Pelumi's body. The case has been adjourned to March 24, 2026
