Soap scum forms when soap reacts with hard water minerals (mainly calcium and magnesium). Instead of staying dissolved, it forms that whitish, greasy residue.
This is common when using:
Fat-based soaps (from caustic soda + oils)

1. Reduce or avoid real βsoapβ base
If you're making liquid detergent (like your multipurpose soap), too much fatty soap causes scum.

These donβt react with hard water like traditional soap.
