Hereâs how to grow your business faster by collaboratingânot competing.
Youâve already seen the post on â20 Business Pairings That Grow Together.â
Now letâs talk about how to make it work (without stress or drama).
Step 1: Pick the Right Partner.
Look for a business that:
â
Serves the same type of customers as you (but offers something different).
â
Has a good reputation.
â
Is open to trying new things.
Example:
Baker + Event Decorator = Perfect Combo
Step 2: Create a Win-Win Offer.
Ask: âWhat can we offer together that gives customers more value?â
Ideas:
Discount bundles.
Referral bonuses.
Free gift with combo purchase.
Joint social media giveaway.
Step 3: Set Clear Expectations.
Avoid confusion by answering these:
đ Who handles customer service?
đ How do we split costs or profits (if any)?
đ How will we promote this offer?
Write it downâeven if itâs short.
Step 4: Promote Like a Team.
Announce the collab on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
đ Tag each other.
đ Share behind-the-scenes content and testimonials.
đ Encourage followers to tag friends who need the offer.
Step 5: Track & Celebrate Results.
Keep track of new clients or inquiries from the partnership.
đ Celebrate your wins publicly to attract more attention.
đ Be open to improving the next collab.
Final Word:
Partnerships donât have to be big or complicated.
Start small. Think smart. Stay consistent.
Tag a business owner you'd love to try this withâand go make it happen!

âDear Bride-to-Be: Take That Break. Your Body Will Thank You Later.â
On my way back from picking up my child from school, I stopped by a grocery store to get a few provisions. Not far off, I noticed a group of friends chatting at a printing shop nearby.
As I paid for my items, I couldnât help but overhear part of their conversation. They were talking about a friend of theirs who had just gotten married. One of them mentioned how the groom married someone they didnât expectâsaying the bride âdidnât look perfectâ on her big day.
I smiled quietly. It brought back memories of my own wedding a few years ago.
Back then, I was working as a quality control officer. I took my leave less than a month before the wedding because I had deadlines to meet. What I didnât realize was just how much planning a wedding takes.
By the time I finally went on leave, I was already worn outâjuggling work, wedding planning, and everything in between. Honestly, I shouldâve handed the planning over to my aunties or even hired an event planner.
I was exhausted before my big day.
On my wedding day, I was so tired and stressed that all I wanted was for the day to end so I could sleep. I didnât even enjoy it as much as I should have. Now I realize some people probably said the same thing about me that I heard at the printing shop that day.
A few months after my wedding, I attended another one. I overheard guests from the groomâs family whispering things about the bride. Thatâs when it hit me again:
âđ And I thought⌠âSo this is what people say behind bridesâ backs?â
So if youâre a bride-to-be, pleaseâtake a break. If you can, take at least 2 months off before your big day. Let someone else handle the stress. Focus on you and your husband-to-be.
And if youâre in a situation where you have to do it all yourself, start earlyâand still take that break. Your body and your peace of mind will thank you later.
And for those that love finding faults in others, remember âbeauty is in the eye of its beholderâ.
⨠Alhamdulillah for where I am today.
What I thought wasnât a perfect start, it has been nothing but a beautiful journey.

How to Tell if Your Honey is 100% Puređ§đ§
Think your honey is pure? đ Try this simple test:
⢠Water Test: Drop a spoonful of honey into a glass of water. Pure honey settles at the bottom; adulterated honey dissolves quickly.
⢠Thumb Test: Place a drop on your thumb. Pure honey stays intact; impure spreads or spills.
These quick checks can help ensure youâre getting the real deal! ďżź
Remember, while these tests can provide clues, they arenât foolproof. For guaranteed purity, source your honey from trusted suppliers.

Why Is Shea Butter and Black Soap Getting More Expensive? đ¤
I get this question all the time:âShea butter and black soap are made here in Nigeria. No dollar rate wahalaâso why are the prices still going up?â
Relax, let me break it down for you. đ
So, hereâs the gistâŚ
Ivory Coast is the worldâs biggest cocoa producer. Ghana follows, and Nigeria sits at number four. Now, cocoa is used to make cocoa butter and other products. You're probably wondering: âwhat does cocoa have to do with shea butter and black soap?"
Stay with me. đđ˝
Last year, West Africa got hit by a nasty disease called Cocoa Swollen Shoot Disease (CSSD). It drastically reduced cocoa output. Despite efforts to fight it, there's still no major improvement.
Hereâs where it gets interesting: Shea butter is a popular alternative to cocoa butter. And guess what? Shea nuts are abundant in Nigeria. So what happened? International buyers started shifting their attention (and money đ°) to our shea nuts.
Now, because of that demand spike, the price of shea nuts (which we use to make shea butter) shot up. Exporters are buying in bulk, and Nigerian farmers are happily selling to themâmore money, less stress.
Result? Shea butter is now more expensive, even for us locals. đŠ
As for black soap, part of its ingredients include cocoa pod. No cocoa, no pod. And because cocoa is now scarce, black soap prices are also rising.
In short:đ° Cocoa is in trouble â đ° Shea becomes hot cake â đ¸ Prices go up.

Scrolling through my photos, and I came across this picture, I remembered the story behind it.
The right customers donât stress you â they just come!
This truth goes beyond business â itâs a life principle. Whatâs truly meant for you will find its way, effortlessly.
When I started RAYU Organic Store, I wasnât posting much, barely visible online. But just weeks in, I received my very first order â someone needed organic ingredients to make tonning black soap, Body Scrub and a face cream. She wasnât even sure what to buy, so I helped her with a full list of ingredients. Her response? âOkay, how much is my bill?â
No back and forth. No stress. She paid immediately. I was shocked â and deeply grateful. She didnât just buy; she trusted me, even as a new business. That moment taught me something: people still recognize sincerity and quality, even when youâre just starting out.
And guess what? She didnât just buy once. She came back again.
So if youâre building something from scratch, keep showing up. The right people will find you â and they wonât stress you.
And if you're ready to shop trusted organic productsâ you know where to come.
