During my WIFE'S pregnancy journey, Hyperemesis Gravidarum also known as "Morning Sickness" dealt with her.

Like it turned her into an end-to-end pipe that you just pour water from one end and it goes out through the other end.

At first, I kept encouraging her that after 1st trimester, it'll reduce.. But it NEVER stopped.

She vomited till her 7th month, not exaggerating at all,then the reflex reduced.. At a point, she started panicking at the sight of food because once it enters her GIT, she's letting them out immediately with serious spasms that will have her eyeballs almost pulling out 🤦🏾‍♂️.

And most of those times, I was far from her due to my job🤦🏾‍♂️.. I just watch her on video call sometimes with fear 😨.

It got serious to the extent that you would fear that she might even vomit the baby or baby's limbs or head through her mouth🤦🏾‍♂️.

When it starts, it will just hook her below her stomach or pelvic region that she'll be grunting in pains as she vomits.

Hyperemesis Gravidarum is NO JOKE at all... and honestly, if you as a womàn don't experience it,then you don't know what the Lord did for you.

At some point, My wife started getting depressed about it, she'll throw tantrums, cry, wail, worried about what the baby will eat 😁 and stuffs, it was that serious!.

Let me just share a little knowledge about Hyperemesis Gravidarum and how it can trigger Prepartum depression for those that doesn't know.

HYPEREMESIS GRAVIDARUM & PREPARTUM DEPRESSION is A Tough Combo for Pregnant Women.

Normally, Pregnancy is supposed to be a joyful journey, but for some women, it turns into a battle with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG)—a severe form of nausea and vomiting that can leave them dehydrated, weak, and unable to eat. Now, add prepartum depression to the mix, and it’s like carrying double wahala!

Here’s how HG can trigger or worsen depression during pregnancy:

✅ Get emotional support – Family, friends, or a therapist can help.
✅ Don’t suffer in silence – Speak up, pregnancy is tough, but you don’t have to go through it alone!
