My first actual movie was a Venus Films production by Abdul Salam Mumuni. The movie was "Divine Love". That was my first real film. That movie gave a new awakening to the Ghanaian movie industry.

There was a lot of dormancy at some point. But this film felt like we were hitting the mark again. Prior to that, Salaam would probably do collaborations with Nigeria. "Divine Love" was his first Ghanaian cast. It featured myself, G. Michelle, Van Vicker, Rama Brew, and the late George Williams.

We were all so passionate about what we were doing. We wanted to make a change in the industry. The movie came out very well and it traveled far. I travel and people from the Bahamas and the Caribbean have watched it. That movie really did go far.
