Kolinsky (Mustela sibirica) is a a species of weasel. The hair on the tail of this specie of weasel makes fine material for fine artists’ paint brushes. Kolinsky bristles are characterized by their pale red colour and the finest brushes are made from the male hair only.
However, our brushes are made from a 70:30 ratio of male and female Kolinsky hairs because the difficulty of harvesting the hair off a Kolinky is high and make it very pricey.
Brushes made of Kolinsky hair are widely known to be the finest available, offering spectacular artificial nail-fashioning results and a great amount of work goes into the creation of each brush.
Our brushes come with fine, red wooden handles in the round and crimped variants.
The crimped and round base of the brushes makes a flatter belly while still maintaining a tapered point for precision and control.

Note to always clean our great quality brushes thoroughly after each use with brush cleaner or liquid monomer.
DO NOT or LIMIT USE OF ACETONE because Acetone will remove the shine from bristle and can make acrylic tacky and build-up residue.

Remove as much moisture as possible with paper towel and reshape with the transparent cap before storing.
