I am sincerely scared. Very scared.
As much as it seems like 80% of us haven’t moved on from the news of the abducted children and teachers in Oyo State, I have stopped seeing it on my FYP. It’s no longer showing, and it feels like some of us have moved on. But the only people who truly cannot move on are the families affected.
I keep asking myself, “What if it’s me or someone I know?”
As much as the world won’t stand still for anyone, we should also not forget because it could be anyone tomorrow.
And no amount of “GOD FORBID” makes sense to me. Because are we saying these people do not know God? Didn’t they pray too? But today, this is their reality.
After this incident, many others have happened — the woman who lost her 30-year-old son, while her 24-year-old son was whisked away. Many families have been thrown into mourning simply for being citizens of this country. We can’t sleep peacefully, we can’t have peace of mind. Till when?
Last night, I had a terrible dream about the insecurity in this country. I have had a series of nightmares since this insecurity started, and I wake up panting heavily, scared to go back to sleep. If it could be that scary in dreams, now imagine how scary it must be for the people involved.
When I eat, drink, or even sleep, I ask myself, “What about them?”
Let’s not forget, none of us is truly safe in this country. We should be worried and scared because we don’t know what’s happening next. And please don’t say “let’s pray” — the victims also prayed.

It has been over 20 days since these children and teachers were abducted, and they are still yet to be released.
For 20 days, families have been living in fear, uncertainty, and pain, not knowing when they will see their loved ones again. These children and teachers are sleeping in harsh conditions, exposed to the rain, and hot sun, hungry, exhausted, and deprived of basic comfort and care.
Among them are women and girls who may be dealing with their monthly cycle under unimaginable circumstances, without privacy, dignity, or access to sanitary products. No one should have to endure that.
These are not just numbers in a news headline. They are people. They are someone’s children, mothers, fathers, siblings, friends, and colleagues. Their families are waiting, praying, and hoping for their safe return.
The government and relevant authorities must do everything within their power to secure their release and ensure their safety. Nigerians are already burdened by economic hardship, insecurity, and countless daily struggles. Living in constant fear of abduction should not be another reality we are forced to accept.
Enough is enough. Bring them home. Their lives matter, their families matter, and every day they remain in captivity is one day too many. 💔🙏🏽🇳🇬

At this time, we have decided to pause all business-related posts on this page until the abducted children and their teachers regain their freedom.
As a mother, I simply cannot bring myself to carry on with business as usual and act as though nothing has happened. My heart is heavy. Every time I think about those children in captivity and the unimaginable pain their parents and loved ones must be going through, posting products and promotions feels insignificant.
While many of us are in the comfort of our homes with our children, some parents do not know where their children are or what they are enduring. That reality is heartbreaking.
We continue to pray for the safe and immediate release of every child and teacher still in captivity. Our thoughts are with their families, and we stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
May God bring them home safely and soon. 💔🙏🏽🕊️

We say men are protectors, but how can a so-called protector abduct children as little as 2 years old and people’s wives, mothers, and fathers, and inflict pain on them? I haven’t seen a single picture where a group of bandits is made up entirely of women. They are all MEN!
As much as I try not to make this about a gender war, maybe it’s high time men started calling themselves out.
Men will hurt women.
Men will hurt men.
Men will hurt children.
Are they really protectors?
YES, NOT ALL MEN! BUT ALWAYS A MAN!

Eid Mubarak 🕊️🌙
As Muslims across Nigeria and around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha, sharing meals, prayers, and precious moments with loved ones, our hearts are also with the families whose joy has been replaced by fear, pain, and uncertainty.
While many homes are filled with laughter and celebration today, some parents are spending this Eid wondering where their children are. Some families are setting extra plates at the table for loved ones who are still not home. The abducted school children and their teachers remain in captivity, and their families continue to endure an agony that words cannot fully describe.
Eid al-Adha teaches us sacrifice, compassion, and humanity. It reminds us to care for those who are suffering and to stand with those carrying heavy burdens. Today, as we celebrate, we cannot forget those whose hearts are broken and whose prayers are filled with tears.
No family should have to celebrate a festive season in fear. No child should spend days away from home in captivity. No teacher should be punished for simply doing their job.
We urge our leaders, security agencies, and all those in positions of authority to act with urgency and determination. These children and their teachers deserve to be reunited with their families. Their loved ones deserve answers, relief, and hope.
As we celebrate Eid, let us keep them in our thoughts and refuse to let their plight be forgotten.
Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. As we celebrate today, let us also remember those whose hearts are heavy and whose greatest Eid wish is to see their loved ones safely return home. 💔🌙

Happy Children’s Day 💔🕊️
Today, as we celebrate the joy, innocence, and dreams of children, our hearts remain with the school children who were abducted just days ago and are spending this Children’s Day away from their families.
No child deserves this. Every child deserves freedom, safety, education, love, and the chance to grow up in peace. Every child deserves to wake up in their own bed, surrounded by family, not in fear, uncertainty, and captivity.
While many children are celebrating today, countless parents are carrying a pain no parent should ever have to endure. Instead of sharing gifts, laughter, and happy moments with their children, they are desperately waiting for the day they can hold them again.
As a nation, we cannot celebrate and remain silent. These children are not just statistics in the news, they are sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, classmates, and friends. They matter. Their lives matter.
On this Children’s Day, we call on our leaders, security agencies, and everyone in positions of authority to intensify efforts and ensure these innocent children are brought back home to their families.
Every child matters. Every child deserves freedom. Every child deserves a happy childhood.
💙 Happy Children’s Day to every child. We stand with the abducted children and their families, and we will not forget them. 💙
