Compliments from EHOAN National Executive Committee (NEXCO). NEXCO has noted with interest and much concern the reactions of our members towards the current challenges the progression is facing including the Environmental Health related Bills in the National Assembly.
We appreciate and understand your eagerness and restiveness towards our challenges. It may interest you to note that the current EHOAN NEXCO led by sanitarian Jamilu Shuaibu upon coming to office in December 2020 swung into action by second week of January 2021 on a zero financial support from EHOAN but using personal resources to address the challenges and the BILLS in the National Assembly on behalf of all Sanitarians across the 36 states of the federation and Abuja. The EHOAN National Leadership as a non Governmental body ably represented and led by Sanitarian Jamilu Shuaibu had been and is still currently in Abuja Negotiating, Networking, Collaborating and meeting with relavant stakeholders to address the Bills in the National Assembly and other professional challenges. EHORECON has not rested a bit on its oas but has been helpful, co-operative and aggressive in this very struggle and should also be commended here. They are also in the fore- front of the battle for the restoration of the profession to its glorious state.
We have chosen not to discuss the details of our strategies, tactics and actions on the platform because we have noticed that some Sanitarians have already align and register with our detractors for personal monetary gains/power and may sabotage our efforts. For instance, some of them have joined the "Food Safety Corps" already which is busy registering people at a fee and using such funds to sponsor the food safety Bill. People are readily paying and anxiously waiting to wear that new uniform. We all know that the interest in the "food safety corps" formation is not the
