She has given up a lot to be with NED. And from stories all she wants is to build herself, make her own money too and not only live to be defined by marriage. There should be more to be remembered for than the young nollywood actress that got married to an older senator. Is this too much to ask?

Benue Man, john Agbo Celebrates 10 Years of Marriage and a New Home in Grand Style

In a heartfelt celebration that touched many across Benue State and beyond, Mr. John Agbo and his beloved wife, Janet, marked their 10th wedding anniversary with double joy—the official dedication and move-in to their newly completed 4-bedroom home.

Their journey, which began a decade ago with humble beginnings, is a powerful testimony to faith, resilience, and unwavering love. At the time of their wedding, John had no home of his own and had to move in with his wife in a modest apartment near campus. Three months later, they moved into a single-room self-contained flat, paid for by selling a freezer gifted by Janet’s father.

Struggling through life’s harsh realities, John moved to Lagos in search of better opportunities, leaving his wife behind in Benue. After a year of hardship in Lagos, his sister convinced him to relocate to Abuja. There, things slowly began to take shape when he got a job as an events manager at one of the capital's top event centers. Still, it was far from easy. Feeding the family and paying school fees became a daily challenge.

On January 29, 2019, he lost that job. But instead of despairing, he leaned into his faith. The path wasn’t smooth, but with time, grace, and persistence, John and Janet began to rebuild. From not being able to afford rent for a N50,000 room, they gradually upgraded from a one-bedroom flat to a two-bedroom, and finally, in just 15 months, built their dream 4-bedroom home.

The anniversary celebration wasn’t just a party—it was a thanksgiving. John intentionally dedicated the house to God as a tribute to his wife's enduring support, sacrifices, and prayers over the years. According to him, "This woman has sacrificed a lot for me that if I begin to recount her sacrifices, time would never be enough."

What makes this celebration particularly special is not the size of the house or the style of the event—it’s the testimony behind it. From deep struggles to remarkable transformation, John Agbo’s story is a beacon of hope for young couples everywhere: with love, patience, and faith, even the most difficult beginnings can turn into beautiful chapters.

Life has a way of getting in front of us or me. We get so busy doing the things that life requires us to do in order to move forward or provide for our families, we tend to lose sight of the one that provides us that life to begin with.

It is not totally losing sight, just not putting our priorities in order. Yes, it is hard to stop for a minute and just say "God, today I am giving it all to you to work out. What ever happens today, happens. I give it all to you, please take it from me"

You see, God will not take anything away from you that you will not relinquish. If we keep holding on to all of the burdens of life and fail to depend on him that helps and heals, then we will continue to sink just as Peter did. Not only until he cried out for the Lord was he pulled from the deep.

Start today by giving it all to Christ because he chose you, yes you, to be his sons and daughters. He loves you and so do we.
