Do you know how to properly detangle your hair?

What you need;
🔸Detangler ( product with enough slip like Aloe vera gel, flaxseed gel, okra gel, slippery elm powder gel, cactus gel or a store bought detangler)

🔸A detangling brush or your fingers. Make sure your finger nails don't have cuts to avoid breakage.
🔸Spray bottle with water and leave in conditioner mix.
🔸Hair clips/ hair bands
🔸Wide tooth comb.
🔸 Time and patience.

Procedure
☑️Pat hair into 4 to 6 sections and hold with hair clips/bands

☑️ Moisturize each section my spraying in water and leave in conditioner mix. You don't need to seal moisture. The essence is to avoid working on dry hair.

☑️ Apply your detangler to each section and run your fingers through. Start from the tips of your hair and move slowly towards the roots.

☑️ Gently unravel matted hair with your fingers.
Finger comb to remove shedded hair. When you notice matting, don't force your hands through. Add more detangler and gently unravel.

☑️You can then use a detangling brush to run through or a wide tooth comb. Equally work from hair tips and move slowly towards the roots.

☑️Put each section in twist/band or thread.

☑️You can then proceed to washday.
