ENUGU WOMEN DEMAND JUSTICE AGAINST HERDERS' VIØLENCE

Hundreds of women from Eha-Ohala in Enugu State staged a peaceful prøt€st, blocking the Nkalagu-Eha-Amufu-Ikem-Obollo-Afor Federal Highway to demand government intervention against ongoing herdsmen attacks.

The women, representing Mgbuji, Umujiove, and Abor communities, shared horrific accounts of s€xual viølence, claiming Fulani herdsmen have been r@ping women, preventing farm access, and causing severe economic hardship.

The prøtesters accused security agencies of complicity, highlighting that at least 150 people have been ki!!ed and 28 farm settlements occupied between 2020 and 2025.
