Make way for the King of them all❣️❣️❣️
If you want to age gracefully and flawlessly please start taking COLLAGEN incase you haven't started yet.
Collagen is a major component of your skin. It plays a role in strengthening skin, plus may benefit elasticity and hydration.
As you age, your body produces less collagen, leading to dry skin and the formation of wrinkles.
However, several studies have shown that collagen peptides or supplements containing collagen may help slow the aging of your skin by reducing wrinkles and dryness.
In one study, women who took a supplement containing 2.5–5 grams of collagen for 8 weeks experienced less skin dryness and a significant increase in skin elasticity compared with those who did not take the supplement.
Another study found that women who drank a beverage mixed with a collagen supplement daily for 12 weeks experienced increased skin hydration and a significant reduction in wrinkle depth compared with a control group.
The wrinkle-reducing effects of collagen supplements have been attributed to their ability to stimulate your body to produce collagen on its own.
Please start taking a Collagen supplement today esp if you're above 30. You'll definitely thank me later❣️

Vitamin A = Retinol (Super Anti-aging Agent)❣️
If you want to age gracefully consider adding vitamin A to your skincare routine & thank me later.
Both the upper and lower layers of skin need vitamin A. It seems to prevent sun damage by interrupting the process that breaks down collagen. Since it's an antioxidant, it may give your skin some protection against sunburn (although not as much as wearing sunscreen). It helps the oil glands around your hair follicles work and may also help cuts and scrapes heal.

The Benefits of Vitamin C for Your Skin.
May Help Protect Against Sun Damage
The antioxidants in vitamin C may help defend against the damage that UV light can cause. That doesn’t mean that you can use a vitamin C skin serum in place of sunscreen. It can’t replace SPF since it doesn’t absorb UVA or UVB rays. But if UV light does get into your skin, some research suggests that vitamin C can help blunt the harm.
Might Lighten Dark Spots
Vitamin C-based skin care products may lighten patches that are darker than the rest of your skin, called hyperpigmentation. In one study, vitamin C applied to the skin for 16 weeks significantly cut down on these spots.
Helps Smooth Wrinkles
Vitamin C is a powerful ingredient in many anti-aging products. Some studies show that it can reduce the appearance of wrinkles when you use it for at least 12 weeks. A healthy diet that’s high in this nutrient might help, too. Research suggests that people who eat more vitamin C have fewer wrinkles. It’s not limited to citrus fruits. Broccoli, red peppers, and spinach are chock full of it, too.
Boosts Collagen
This protein is naturally present in your skin and helps keep it from sagging. But your body slows down collagen production as you age. Vitamin C applied to the skin or ingested can encourage new collagen to grow. It also helps maintain the collagen you do have and protects the precious protein from damage.
Promotes Healing
Vitamin C can help wounds heal more quickly. You could take supplements, get more of the nutrient in your diet, or apply it to your skin. All help close open sores -- especially in people who don’t already get enough of the stuff. The vitamin helps the body produce the collagen necessary to resolve this type of injury.
Diminishes Scars
In one study, vitamin C gel applied to the skin made surgical scars less noticeable.

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients found in certain foods. They can serve to regulate the skin's oil production, improve balanced hydration, subdue breakouts and minimize signs of aging. Omega-3s can also help soften rough, dry skin and have a soothing effect on irritation and dermatitis.
But that's not all! Research shows that regularly taking fish oil may boost the skin's immunity to UV damage and skin cancer.
2. What foods contain omega-3s?
The most well-known food to be packed with these nutrients is fish oil. Think that suggestion sounds a little too ... fishy? Flax seeds, chia seeds and soybean oil are all vegetarian sources of omega-3s. The difference is that omega-3s from fish oil are readily absorbed upon consumption, while plant forms need to be converted first in the body before they can be used.
3. How do omega-3s interact with skin?
Getting your omega-3s through fish oil supplements or other foods can improve the fatty acid composition in your skin and balance its inflammatory response. In other words, skin stays softer and less inflamed! Keeping your fatty acid levels up also helps to minimize the effect of sun damage and improve sensitive skin conditions.

Blood sugar imbalance in particular plays a significant role in skin health:
Erratic blood sugar levels depletes some of the glow-getting micronutrients that skin cells need to regenerate and repair.
Elevated l blood sugar levels promote formation of advanced glycation end products or “AGEs”. This acronym is apt since AGEs cause proteins – like the collagen and elastin that keep the skin smooth and elastic .
Elevated blood sugar causes an inflammatory spike in insulin (which the body produces to bring blood sugar levels back down). Inflammation ages the skin from the inside out, and triggers or worsens inflammatory skin conditions like acne and eczema.
Since the endocrine system is very delicate, chronically elevated insulin levels can throw the other hormones out of balance as well. This can have a tremendous impact on the skin.
So, how do we start to balance blood sugar for glowing skin?
The first step to regulating blood sugar levels is cutting refined sugar and simple, refined carbohydrates from your diet. The majority of dietary sugars should come from whole fruits and veggies.

No More Dark Knuckles💃💃💃
I used to have some embarrassing dark knuckles on my hands and toes. I’ll like to share two ways I used to reduce its appearance.
1. Physical Exfoliation: I intentionally scrub my hands, fingers and toes whenever I’m exfoliating. Also I look out for scrubs with specific ingredients which help deal with hyperpigmentation(Vitamin C, AHA, Tumeric, Alpha Arbutin). It’s easy to overlook the fingers when scrubbing your body but Be Intentional!
2. Chemical Exfoliation: I use body lotions rich in AHA particularly Alpha Renewal Body lotion rich in glycolic acid, this has done wonders for my skin. Again apply it intentionally on your knuckles and massage in thoroughly
NB: Always use a sunscreen esp on your hands and toes to avoid redarkening!

Collagen is a fundamental protein that acts as a crucial part to the foundation of our skin, hair, bones, joints, muscles, and other connective tissues. Collagen proteins account for more than 25% of the total protein content in our bodies!
As we get older, our bodies’ natural ability to produce collagen slows down. This leads to wrinkled skin, thinning hair, frail bones, weaker joints, and other detriments. Lifestyle choices like poor diet or too much sun exposure can lead to an even further decline of collagen production. Unfortunately, in most modern diets, we aren’t consuming enough foods with collagen to help counteract and slow the aging process down. In fact, many modern lifestyle choices may actually be speeding up the aging process.
But all is not lost! We can help our bodies by consuming foods & vitamin supplements that contain collagen, along with foods containing the nutrients that help promote and protect collagen in our bodies.
