February 11th is now a day of celebration.

Although in 2023 it felt like a funeral, and a little piece of me died, I’ve decided that from this year on, it will no longer be a painful memory but a day of celebration. The resilience of Yalou Ensemble, the support of my clients and loved ones, and my own perseverance are far more important than mourning what once was.

Little do my clients know that every time they sit in my chair, and I get the chance to enhance their natural beauty, they heal a small part of the little girl that has been made to feel “bad” for being “different”.

Can’t believe I’ve been helping women to love and enhance their natural beauty for seven years. It was never my dream to open up a salon. But as the demand from clients and my love for this branche began to grow, so did my business.

Helping, housing, educating and meeting others in this industry has even inspired me more and led to some beautiful connections. So to all my fellow ambitious girlies I’d like to say, don’t give up on yourself. Because this journey is the living proof of ‘No weapon formed against me shall prosper’.
