We often get the question: how do I build my skincare routine? What’s the correct order of products? We’re here to help:

Tip 1: Always start with your water-based products and work towards the more oily products. Thin, watery products have small molecules that need to pe*****te deep into the skin. If you apply a thick cream first, it creates a physical barrier, so the rest of the products won’t be able to do their work anymore.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tip 2: There’s one exception, and that’s SPF. You always finish with your SPF. SPF works by sitting on top of the skin as a protective shield. If you apply anything on top of it, you physically disturb the UV filter layer and reduce its effectiveness. This is why you always apply your SPF as a final step.

A hand wash works through a mix of chemistry and mechanics to remove dirt, oil and germs:

Surfactants (the cleansing agents) have two ends: one that bonds with water and one that bonds with oils/grease. When you rub hand wash on your skin with water, the surfactants surround oils, dirt, and microbes, forming tiny droplets called micelles.

Rubbing your hands together creates friction that helps lift germs and debris off the skin’s surface. Rinsing with water washes these away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In short: hand wash doesn’t kill germs, it mainly loosens them from your skin so they can be rinsed away with water. This is the same for body wash, face wash and hair wash, so why use a different product for each? This is why we developed our 4-in-1 Wash. Gentle AND effective.
