Every Saturday morning, I head to the Noordermarkt early. Yesterday I spotted these beautiful zucchini blossoms and couldn’t resist buying them. I bought them for an italian dinner. I’m going to stuff some with ricotta and herbs, use some in a pasta dish and make tempura with the the rest. It’s wonderful way to enjoy this seasonal delicacy in several different preparations. Last week we had the pleasure of catering a beautiful Italian lunch/ dinner accompanied by a selection of exquisite wines.

Fresh red garlic at the Haarlemmerplein market on wednesday today. Use the stems in omelettes, risotto or pasta. Roast the garlic whole, it becomes soft, sweet almost buttery or slice raw into salads or tomato dishes
