What are spider naevi?

👉 Spider naevi are prominent blood vessels affecting up to 10% of the population. They usually occur as single or multiple blood vessels on the face, chest and neck areas.

👉 As the name suggests, spider naevi look like central red lumps with blood vessels radiating in a spider web-like pattern from the centre. Spider naevi are readily and safely removed by diathermy LAMPROBE.

What causes spider naevi?

👉 It is not known why most spider naevi occur. However, growth factors such as VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factors) are known to play a role in the occurrence of vascular lesions.

In certain cases, the occurrence of spider naevi can be caused by:

• Hormonal changes: oestrogen (e.g. oral contraceptive pill) or pregnancy may enlarge pre-existing naevi or cause multiple naevi to form

• Liver disease such as cirrhosis or liver failure.

What do they look like?

👉 Spider naevi, as the name suggests, are red pin-point blood vessels measuring 1 to 3 mm in diameter which have a feeding blood vessel in the centre with smaller vessels radiating outwards in a spider web-like pattern.

👉 Spider naevi usually occur as single or multiple blood vessels on the cheeks, nose and neck areas.

What are dermal fibromas?🤔

👉Fibromas (Latin: fibroma) are irregularly shaped skin lesions that take the form of lumpy growths.

👉They are formed as a result of excessive proliferation of fibrous connective tissue.

👉They usually do not cause pain. When they occur in an area exposed to friction, they can be quite irritated, itchy and red.

👉They are a common aesthetic problem but are usually not life-threatening.
How are fibroids formed?

What are the causes of the formation of fibroids?🤔

👉According to research, the basis for the formation of soft fibroids is mainly genetic.

👉They occur very commonly, regardless of gender. Their incidence increases with age. Sometimes they develop during pregnancy.

Hard fibromas are acquired lesions. They are formed as a result of skin trauma proceeding with the generation of inflammation.

For example, as a result of:
➡️insect bite
➡️abrasion of the epidermis
➡️fracture of a wart
➡️injury

They develop more often in people with hormonal disorders, diabetes, obesity, von Recklinghausen syndrome or neurofibromas.

Why am I a NO? 👇

During the implementation of threads, many things can go wrong, such as:

⛔️ can quite to infection,

⛔️ to break the thread,

⛔️ the thread can be improperly implanted ( too shallow, in which case it pulls the skin / too deep - causes soreness when speaking),

⛔️ asymmetrical dissolution of the threads by which they can cause facial distortion,

⛔️ the formation of an uneven scar, depressions or adhesions in the subcutaneous tissue,

⛔️ can quite damage a vessel and form a hematoma,

⛔️ chronic inflammation may occur,

⛔️ paresthesias ( manifested by numbness, tingling, stinging or burning in the area implanted with threads) can occur.

Remember...a doctor or cosmetologist/cosmetician....may perform any procedure. It's just that in the end, it's the Patient/Client who is left alone with the complications (And has to live with them!!!).

Among women ( especially ) 40+ these are mainly:

A przecież, aby wyglądać i czuć się dobrze, wcale nie trzeba dokładać kolejnych porcji drogich zabiegów wolumetrycznych.

Istnieje ogromna gama zabiegów z zakresu medycyny estetycznej i szeroko pojętej kosmetologii - bezpiecznych dla naszego zdrowia i wyglądu.
