North Canterbury Massage

Hi everyone, Just thought I would do an update on here as I have been very quite on social media over the past year since selling our house. We have since bought land and in the process of building. Life has been busy, In August we welcomed our 3rd son, due to this and covid I have decided I will be extending my maternity leave to focus on family life. I will keep this page live as I hope to start back up some point in the future. I hope everyone is keeping well and getting ready for the Xmas break. Just a wee update from me, as most of my regulars are aware we have now sold and moved into temporary accommodation, so at this stage it will mean il be having another break for awhile while we build. So I want to take this time to say thank you so much for continuing to support my wee business and I hope to see you again in the future. Cassie 🙂

And just like that we have a 1 year old! When I first went on maternity leave I hadn’t planned to be off this long, but covid happened... I decided to make the most of lock down and start a certificate in biz and admin to help with our drainage biz ( the office side of things doesn’t come naturally to me 😉 im better at massage ) we also put our house on the market so if you have seen the forsale signs we are staying in the area just looking to upsize . So sorry to those who have been waiting to hear from me. Good news is the massage room is set back up so I’m hoping to to ease myself back into doing a night or 2 a week and the odd weekend. So il be in contact with my regulars to see if you need appointments. At this stage because of my limited availability I won’t be taking on any new clients but will update once my availability increases.

A wee update... I have been getting a few people contact me recently to find out if I’m back working yet..short answer is no. I have a giant baby who already weighs nearly 11kg ( 5 months old) and unfortunately have really hurt my shoulder lifting him. I have been seeing physio since before Xmas and not much improvement so they sent me for a scan and the results were bursitis = treatment cortisone injection and rest 😂 ain’t no resting it yet until kobe can be abit more active and need less carrying and picking up etc, so at this stage I won’t be able to think about returning to until my shoulder is better 😞 I will update as soon as I am taking appointments. Hello 🙂 just wanted to touch base and wish you all a safe and happy new year 🥳 and let you all know I’m still around and havnt disappeared, I’m still currently on maternity leave and enjoying family time. Take care and il be seeing you sometime in 2020 once I start back part time ❤️

I know there is a few of you been waiting for our announcement! Our beautiful baby boy Kobe Joseph Sutherland made his way into the world a bit early (36 weeks 4 days) weighing 7lb 2 oz on Monday 26th August we are still in hospital but he is doing amazing such a chilled calm baby ( I put it down to all the massages he has done with me and listening to the relaxing music for the past 9 months 🙂 ) thanks to all who have been part of this journey with us ❤️

Bula from Fiji! My maternity has pretty much started today 🙂 apart from the handful of you who have secured your appointments for as soon as I get back. Just wanted to say a big thanks to all my clients who have supported me and my business over the past 4 years ❤️ il be back just not sure when as yet, but will update this page once I know. Winter bugs!! Grrrr 😕 has anyone else’s family been hit with the nasty virus / flu thing that is circulating? Unfortunately we have. My son had the entire week off school and it even managed to knock me down also! Today is the first day I have managed to stay upright, so that’s an improvement!.We have finally got rid of the temperatures but still not a lot of energy and left with nasty cough. As for appointments this coming week that are booked in I may have to play it by air and let everyone individually know if I’m up to it day by day, as I don’t want to pass it on or make myself worse. Also if you arnt feeling well please reschedule also 🙂 Thanks Cassie

Happy first day of the school term!! Just thought I would do a little update on here. Those of you have who have been coming to me regularly will know or may have noticed me growing... yes there is a baby on the way! I'm over half way now which means my work load is slowing. I have now stopped taking on new clients ( as I feel it is best for them to find someone that they can stick with long term, and I will continue to help my regulars as long as my bump allows) so if you have visited my website you may have seen the landing page I put up ( the photo below) just letting people know. At this stage I have put up May spaces, but from then on I will be playing it week by week. Not all is bad though as I have a great lady in Rangiora who does the same style as me, I will be passing on her details for those of you who would like to continue with this style while I'm off on maternity leave. A big apology to those whose appointments I had to cancel today.. we had a pipe burst in the garage over night which caused a lot of flooding 😞 The house is now full of noisy industrial fans and dehumidifiers to try dry it all out. The insurance assessors will be out Monday so hoping it will all be dry by then, and hoping this won’t affect next weeks appointments but just giving you all a heads up incase it does.
