I’ve been playing around with hyaluronic acid over the past few months and I’m in the process of testing the final recipe for a facial serum to release 🎉.

I love the stuff! Converted big time!

It’s a shame a lot of the commercial ones have so many extra additives and also test on animals 😢 😢 - I just test on myself and willing family and friends! 🤣

🌿Getting ready for my first speaking gig this morning!

I was kindly volunteered by Miss 6 to talk to her class today for this term’s “I am an entrepreneur” module.

I’m not exactly sure what to say but the teacher said, “Don’t you worry, they will have all kinds of questions” 😂

I’m looking forward to helping the next generation learn about entrepreneurship and show that anything can be possible. I’ll update afterwards 😊 🌿

🌿Trying to avoid plastic as much as possible can sometimes be a challenge.

One of the core values I uphold with Flax and Fern is to be plastic-free. Unfortunately a lot of my raw ingredients come in plastic packaging but that’s when I reuse, repurpose and recycle - The large buckets of coconut oil and Shea butter become my mixing and measuring containers and a couple have been given a second life as Lego containers 👌 😆

We all know now that most plastics take years and years to decompose (or maybe don’t at all), harm the environment, release toxins, are endocrine disrupters……the list goes on.

Let’s all make the effort to take the easier step of just washing the spoon instead!😉

🌿 It’s sure been a while since I’ve posted and kept you all up to date!🙊

Life this year has been busy busy, - a couple of months ago I picked up an extra day at work, I “tried” training for another half marathon (that was going well until I got injured and ended up needing physio). I still went ahead with the half, came away grazed, bleeding and bruised and a tad disappointed to be honest.
Throw in some study into that mix and unfortunately, aside from my lovely wholesale customers, I ended up pushing Flax and Fern to the back of my mind 😬

Here I am though, back in my happy place😊

To try something new I’ve added a free shipping selection at checkout for orders over $20, I’m intending this to be permanent now and I also have some exciting collaborations coming up.

Just stepped outside and saw my memorial apple tree on the deck finally has a flower! 🌸 🤞
