I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet! Things got very hectic with class, and I’ve been really pushing to get some more fun and cool things done.

Here’s a few shots from my final assessment!

This character, Billy, was designed by me from start to finish. From sketches, to sculpts, to design, to reality. I wanted the classic “slasher” killer look for him, and I really think I achieved it!

✨BLOOD/GORE WARNING✨

Sorry I’ve been so quiet lately! I’ve been really focusing on my SFX class, and don’t have much makeup looks to post about.

But here’s my first assessment from SFX! My story for this one was a side impact car wound. Costume scars are usually worn by background characters in movies, so next time your watching an action movie: this is probably the style of prosthetic you’ll see a lot of!

❣️ Graduation ❣️

Tomorrow is officially my last day of level 4 makeup artistry at Cut Above!
The following week I move onto level 5, but I’ll officially be a certified makeup artist after this week!

This whole year has been such an amazing journey… I’ve created so many looks I’m proud of, and others I want to revisit and do better. I’ve met some amazing people, most of which have now become some great friends.

This will also be the first ever graduation I attend ❤️ I sadly missed out on my Year 13 graduation, but… At least I’ll still get one!

🧟‍♀️Infected Cinderella🧟‍♀️

This assignment was a “simulated injury” group work!
I was supposed to work with Michelle and Cathy on this in class to make a more realistic plagued Cinderella… But sadly Lockdown got in the way.

Following our brief, this is what I came up with!!

Cinderella was getting ready for the ball when her sisters attacked her. After she ran outside, a hoard of rats swarmed her and bit her, infecting her with plague.

What do you think?
Should I do messed up versions of the other princesses too?

🖤 INNER DEMONS 🖤

This body paint assessment represents the inner mental health demons I struggle with on a daily basis.

Some days are much easier than others, but there’s always that little voice in my head telling me I’ll never be good enough, or I look horrible, I should give up…

It can be extremely hard to deal with. This body paint was a venting mechanism in a way… A visual representation of how my anxiety can feel. Having these worried demons inside me, tightening my chest with worry, and forcing me into a frightened silence.

I wish I could just take away the anxiety like I can just take of the makeup. But it’s never that easy. I’m so glad I have an amazing support network around me that understands what I go through 🖤

If you’re struggling to, don’t be scared to reach out. Help is always available, and you definitely deserve it.

This little photoshoot was done for my fashion assessment today where I took inspiration from 80’s punk fashion trends!

I feel like I’ve found the perfect aesthetic to fit the new hair colour.

I’m so sad we won’t get any trick or treaters today, but… At least we get to feel spooky and have some fun!

100% without question, my all time favourite movie. I love The Nightmare Before Christmas with my entire being.
Becoming Sally was so hard, but so worth it! I just wish I had a costume for her ❤️

Hopefully I can revisit this look as soon as I do have her costume 🥰

Now I just have to get the blue tinting out of my skin…
